The New Dragon Frappuccino Is So Fierce (Photos)

By Cooking Panda

Another day, another new and unique Starbucks Frappuccino to try.

Hot on the heels of the release of the mythical and limited-time Unicorn Frappuccino comes the Dragon Frappuccino, the newest magical creature-turned-blended cold drink that you can purchase at a participating Starbucks store near you.

Basically, because the Unicorn Frappuccinos were only available for a mere few days at participating locations, and because the demand for the psychedelic drink was so massively high, many participating Starbucks stores ran out of the supplies it took to create the Unicorn Frappe for their customers, according to Hello Giggles.

In order to appease their caffeine-addicted, unicorn-hunting customers, a few creative baristas stepped up to the plate — er, grande sized mug — and came up with the Dragon Frappuccino as a replacement to the horned horse.

The Dragon Frappuccino looks pretty similar to the OG Unicorn edition, except it appears the sour blue flavor agent has been replaced with some sort of creamy green mixture.

The green tea Frappuccino base? Perhaps some kind of matcha? Does it even matter what it tastes like with a name that fierce and powerful?

“I apologized profusely to my barista before ordering the basic AF Unicorn Frappuccino – thankfully they were out of the ingredients and offered me something not only cooler and better tasting, but easier to make: the Dragon Frappuccino,” writes one pleased Instagram user.

Have you tried either the Dragon or the Unicorn Frappuccino? Or perhaps both? Which one ended up being the best?

The New Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino Is Total Magic (Photo)

By Cooking Panda

It’s here, ya’ll. It’s really, truly, finally here!

If you’ve been keeping up with online foodie news at all (or just happen to know a tween or two), you’ve probably heard that “unicorn”-themed foods and drinks have stolen the “rainbow”-themed crown and are now all the rage — which is probably why the mega-popular coffee chain Starbucks decided to cash in on the trend and debut its very own Unicorn Frappuccino.

Take a look at this beauty:

The blended beverage is only a limited time offering, and can be purchased at participating Starbucks stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico from April 19 through April 23 (and that’s just while supplies last, folks). So if you don’t scamper down to your local Starbucks as soon as the doors open, you might not get to taste the splendor that is this magical drink.

So what does it taste like?

According to the press release, the Unicorn Frapp features a mixture of sweet pink powder blended into a creme Frappuccino with mango syrup as the base, which is then layered with a sour blue drizzle. The entire concoction is finished with vanilla whipped cream (yum!) and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping.

The whole thing sounds like a legitimate fairytale for the taste buds, and wouldn’t look so bad on an Instagram feed, either.

What’s more, the Frappuccino comes with a spectacular feature sure to delight consumers: It actually changes colors!

“Like its mythical namesake, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended creme comes with a bit of magic, starting as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is sweet and fruity. But give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform.”

Personally, I can’t wait to see this thing in action. What do you think about the new drink?

The Unicorn Cafe Is Real And It’s The Stuff Of Pastel Dreams (Photos)

By Cooking Panda

If unicorns were real, they’d eat exclusively at the Unicorn Cafe in Bangkok. Fit for the most majestic of mythical creatures and humans alike, the cafe is a pastel dream of rainbow furniture, plush animals and sugary delights.

It’s a magical place. A place like no other. A place where wearing a unicorn onesie while snacking on rainbow crepes and sipping on galaxy soda is not only acceptable, but highly encouraged.

As if you needed another reason to visit Thailand — or another reason to wish unicorns existed — check out the photos below.

Travel alone and don’t even be upset about it because you’ve got twelve unicorn friends!

Cake, waffles AND a milkshake? AND there’s fruit on the plate? That’s a balanced meal if we’ve ever seen one.

Ah, yes, here’s how to make up for all the drab, dull, dreary food you’ve been eating. Bonus points for the jewel-topped utensils. That’s really something.

Here’s a close-up of that radiant milkshake, its star-shaped container decorated with a sticker of which Lisa Frank would surely be proud.

The drink magic doesn’t stop at milkshakes. They’ve got sodas, too, of both the galaxy and cotton candy varieties. They’re appropriately topped with sprinkles, it would appear.

Even if the unicorns eye your food with great temptation, you shan’t go hungry; your horn-topped toast ensures it.

Spread goals.

If sweet stuff isn’t your thing, don’t sweat it, especially if you’re a bacon lover. The cafe has rainbow spaghetti adorned with capers and hefty hunks of bacon, a unicorn bacon cheeseburger with unicorn-horn bun, and “unicorn horns” — fried horn-shaped wontons filled with bacon and mozzarella and served with a mayo sauce.

People are always talking about the lap of luxury. This must be what they mean.

Have you ever been this happy? I mean, really?
