By Cooking Panda
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you ready to celebrate? I sure am!
Fear not if you are having a party tonight and have no idea what to make!! I’ve got you covered.
Wash it down with some cocktails. Here are some classy drinks you can make with Irish whiskey, like Jameson, Powers, Bushmills, etc. And if you want to have a little more fun with it, here are some festive drinks you can make, like green cocktails and baby Guinness Jell-O shots.
And finally, you’ll want to make sure that your guests are not only fed and watered but that they have all the sweets they could want as well. From traditional Irish desserts to tasty five-ingredient sweets, you can absolutely have it all! Read on for some favorite festive treats:
Ah, the humble root beer float, one of the most underrated desserts out there. Not that it isn’t delicious enough on its own, but if you really want to live it up, why not add an excitingly flavorful, boozy twist and a dash of cinnamon to it? If you want to make this alcohol free, all you have to do is swap out the Baileys for Irish cream-flavored coffee creamer.
Ever had a Baileys cheesecake? Adding a bit of Irish cream to the dessert makes it so incredibly creamy and rich, with an extra depth of flavor, that you’ll be totally amazed at how delicious it all is. I’m not sure if I need an excuse to eat this, but St. Patrick’s Day sure is a good one.
Beer in your cupcakes? YES! A bit of stout and a drop of coffee will not only keep your cupcakes moist yet fluffy, but it will also bring the most delightful complexity to them. Trust me!
If you came here looking for either 1) an actually Irish dessert, or 2) something that is out of this world DELICIOUS, moist and gooey, you have absolutely come to the right place. WARNING: Sticky toffee pudding is super addictive, and I can’t promise you won’t get hooked on it.
One bite of this stunning comfort dish, and you’ll see why it’s so popular during Irish winters. With the moist, buttery brioche bread, homemade vanilla custard — mixed with raisins or chocolate chips if that’s your thing — and crunchy bruleed sugar topping, you might get hooked rather quickly.
These melt-in-your-mouth buttery, golden crispy and just slightly nutty cookies will be gone before you know it, so be sure to make extra.
Everybody’s favorite milkshake just got fudgefied, and it’s GOOD.
Because why would you ever bake them if you don’t have to?
Tender, moist and packed with just barely al-dente apples, you’d think this cake is perfect as is. But then you top it with that warm custard sauce, and you are transported to another universe of decadence. One thing’s for sure: Irish people know what they’re doing when it comes to sweets!
This is about as boozy and rich as it gets for a cake, so you really can’t go wrong here if that’s your thing.
These adorable and tasty cream cheese, coconut and cinnamon treats don’t originate in Ireland. They actually come from Irish immigrants in Philadelphia back in the day, making them the perfect Irish-American treat to celebrate Irish-American heritage.
Can’t get enough of that boozy Irish cream? We’re right there with you. Whether you make these with alcohol or not, your guests won’t be able to get enough.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day With 13 Festive Cocktails (Recipes)
By Cooking Panda
Are you ready for St. Patrick’s Day?
I sure am! But one thing’s for certain: I’m not drinking any of that stale green beer this year. Ok … well, maybe. But let’s start off the celebration with some beverages that are a little more exciting. (If, however, you insist on drinking green beer but don’t want to use food coloring, consider using a healthy, natural alternative. More details on that here.)
If you want to drink something festive, why not mix up some lovely cocktails that will make everyone green with envy? Here are some favorites:
This drink is tempting on so many levels — it looks fun, it tastes delicious, and it can double as a super boozy dessert. I’m all in.
If you want something sweet, fruity, floral and fizzy, look no further.
Midori and vodka, anyone? Feel free to add a splash of something fizzy, like prosecco or soda, if you want to turn this into a highball. Or don’t.
Considering how bright green this drink is, you might expect it to be ridiculously sugary, but it’s actually a little more interesting than that. It is sweet, yes, but it also features herbal and citrus flavors as well as a few dashes of Angostura bitters that surprisingly tie it all together.
Sounds wild, right? This light and refreshing cocktail will surprise you with its deliciousness, plus it packs a mean punch if you want to make it strong. If zucchini juice sounds too weird for you, swap it out for cucumber, carrot or any other sweet/savory veggie juice.
Do you think green drinks aren’t your thing? Are you more into classic-tasting cocktails and don’t want any of that newfangled sugar-packed stuff? This slightly sweet, delightfully bitter and refreshingly herbal cocktail featuring chartreuse, gin and maraschino liqueur (you’d love it with Luxardo liqueur, if you can find it) will rock your socks off.
Sour apple soda? Irish whiskey? How did I not think of that?! These two ingredients are made for each other.
Not green, but festive and super adorable. These thick, boozy Jell-O shots just prove that stout and coffee are a match made in heaven!
Yep, this is exactly what it sounds like: a mint julep with Irish whiskey instead of bourbon. Super delicious for people who like their cocktails on the stronger side but still want a touch of festivity.
These are tasty any time, but they are particularly perfect should your St. Paddy’s Day party carry on into the wee early hours of the morning.
This light, tart and refreshing cocktail only require four ingredients; plus, you can make it ahead of time in a big batch. Perfect for company!
Are you a fan of mint chocolate milkshakes? Well, this is basically the martini version of that, so today is your lucky day.
Does a cocktail of beers count as a cocktail? I think so! Either way, you can’t get more festive than a black and tan — plus, it tastes WAY better than green beer.
*Note: If you want something a little less green and more classy, try some of these delightful Irish whiskey cocktails.

Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day Green Donuts At Krispy Kreme!
By Cooking Panda
Don’t you just love St. Patrick’s Day? Some cities like to dye their rivers green, some like to throw big parties and all like to encourage the wearing of green. This year, Krispy Kreme is jumping on board with the St. Paddy’s Day festivities by making their Original Glazed donut wear green as well.
Brand Eating reports that the donut giant will be offering up green versions of their glazed donuts called the “Green O’riginal Glazed.” Basically, it’s the Original Glazed donut with a little Irish twist. We know, we know — Krispy Kreme offered these donuts last year, too. The difference (other than the word “Green” added to the name) is that this year they’ll be available at even more locations!
When the donut debuted in March of 2016, a press release announced its arrival. “St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to change the color of the Original Glazed, and our customers love sharing them with family and friends,” said Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. “What’s even rarer — like finding a four-leaf clover — is altering the name of such an iconic product. We’ve never done it. But in this instance, it’s fun and joyful, just like the holiday.”
So, what do you think of festive look? Would you like to have a green glazed donut on the day of green? I appreciate the sentiment and the observance of the holiday, but I’m not so sure a green donut looks all that appetizing. Green icing and clover sprinkles would have probably been prettier!
Either way, if you’re feeling festive you’ve got to try them out. St. Patrick’s Day is on a Friday this year, so the best gift you can give your employees (other than the day off) is a nice big box of Krispy Kreme’s Green O’riginal Glazed donuts! The green donuts will be featured at select locations in the U.S. and Canada, so check your location to find out if they’re available.Green Donuts, krispy kreme, Original Glazed Donuts, St. Patrick's Day
8 Elegant Irish Whiskey Cocktails for St. Paddy’s Day (Recipes)
By Cooking Panda
Prepare yourselves! St. Patrick’s Day is coming, and we want to make sure you are ready to throw an awesome party on March 17!
Grab yourself a nice bottle of your favorite Irish whiskey, like Jameson, Powers or Bushmills, and mix up a few tasty cocktails, will you?
Irish coffee is a well-known and delicious concoction, but what about mixing Irish Breakfast tea and booze? If you love your black teas, brew some up strong and mix with Irish whiskey, fresh lemon juice and a bit of raspberry jam for a surprising fruity addition. It’s so good!
Your sweet and maybe even slightly smoky Irish whiskey gets a tart, bitter and fruity blast from strawberry syrup and, unexpectedly, aged balsamic vinegar, which pairs delightfully well with Lillet Rose, sherry and Orinoco bitters for a unique, sophisticated drinking experience.
Smoky mezcal and sweet Irish whiskey play well together in this cocktail that features herbal Benedictine and Peychaud’s bitters, although you can swap in a nice peaty scotch for the mezcal and whiskey if you’d prefer.
