Shake Shack Is Selling Glittery Pink Milkshakes! (Photo)

Tinder, Bumble, Match.com, Grindr, and endless swipes.
It’s exhausting trying to find a soul mate; your thumbs get tired and that “Whole Foods” pickup line lost its charm months ago.
Sometimes it’s just easier to just throw in the towel and treat yourself to a good old burger.
Luckily, this burger joint will remind you who (and of what species) your true soul mate is. It’s a canine.
Shake Shack, the famous house of burgers and shakes, is launching a Valentine’s Day milkshake in the name of love — puppy love.
For every “Love Shack” Shake sold, the burger joint will donate $2 to Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit organization specializing in training assistance dogs. Considering their milkshakes go for $5.99 each, it’s a small price to pay for indirectly launching a dog’s career. How’s that for unconditional love?
The Love Shack Shake is a sweet “strawberry blonde” milkshake topped with whipped cream and finished with glitter sprinkles (to remind you that some of man’s greatest woes can be solved with just a dash of silver glitter).
Mark Rosati, Shake Shack’s culinary director, said the Love Shack milkshake was inspired by pop group The B-52s’ song “Love Shack” for its glitter references and Georgia roots.
And speaking of, the empire state of the south is home to some good, wholesome soul food, which you will find in abundance on Shake Shack’s menu. Okay, not exactly soul food by standard culinary definitions, but it’s food that soothes the soul.
And your Valentine’s Day plans don’t have to follow any traditional standard. In fact, the break in tradition sounds a lot more fun — a canine for a soul mate and some hearty burgers and a milkshake.
Shake Shack’s strawberry milkshakes are available from Feb. 9 through Feb. 18 in New York City, Los Angeles and Atlanta. Customers are matching with their Love Shack Shakes as we speak, so better act quickly; they’re a limited-edition menu and if not for the delicious burgers you’ll likely order, at least get one in the name of puppy love.Love Shack Shake, Shake Shack
Go Get A Free Burger From Shake Shack, Today!
By Cooking Panda
Want a free burger from Shake Shack? Of course you do. All you have to do is download the app!
Business Insider reports that the burger chain is gifting a single ShackBurger to anyone who downloads the app, which has just been made available in all 50 states. This is both an act of celebration, and a way to encourage customers to get familiar with the newly launched app software.
The app is called “Shack App,” and to cash-in on your free burger, you can use the promo code “shackappy” upon checkout. The best part is that it’s redeemable at any Shake Shack location (other than those in airports, stadiums and ballparks) anytime until Feb. 28, 2017.
Shake Shack is known for having exhaustingly long lines, and this new ability to order online allows customers to skip right over all of that waiting. According to Eater, the app is currently only available on iOS, but there are rumors that an Android version is in the making.
The app itself allows you to order any of your favorite menu items, and even allows you to customize them as well. The only menu item that appears to be unavailable is the frozen custard line, but you can still get the chain’s dog treats and custom-made candy bar.
Testing the app had been going on since October 2016 at one location in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The process involved ordering and paying for menu items, and then receiving a text when those ordered items were ready. Then, the customers can drop by and pick up their items in a designated to-go area of the restaurant. It’s no surprise that such a convenient style of food ordering passed the testing phase and has picked up (since other chains are already using it, such as Taco Bell, Starbucks and Chipotle) in popularity. How much faster and easier can fast food get?
Just take a look at the sleek design of the Shake Shack app, and tell me it doesn’t look easy to use. Great job, Shake Shack!

Check Out Shake Shack’s Latest Shake Flavors!

Winter can be tough on the best of us. Days are cold and short and sometimes it’s just plain gloomy. That’s why it only makes sense for places like Shake Shack to, well, shake it up!
Shake Shack reports that it is launching a trio of new shakes for winter. Starting on Jan. 3, 2017, and going all the way until April 30 (when the weather begins to warm up again), three new seasonal shakes will be available for our indulgence. Each of the flavors are pretty well explained by name only, but it’s just so fun to describe every delicious ingredient, so here we go:
Mint Cookies & Cream — mint-flavored frozen custard blended with chocolate cookie crumbles and finished off with whipped cream.
Salted Vanilla Toffee — salted vanilla-flavored frozen custard blended with toffee (duh!) and, of course, finished with whipped cream.
Mud Pie — marshmallow-flavored frozen custard blended with fudge and coffee (by far the most exciting flavor, in my opinion!), topped with whipped cream and more chocolate, this time of the sprinkle variety.
As much as I love my chocolate, the salted vanilla toffee shake does sound pretty tantalizing. I have to admit these can definitely serve the purpose of brightening up anyone’s dreary winter. Then again, if you’re more into warm treats in cold weather (because, you know, maybe you live in the northeast?), don’t forget that the Shack’s Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate is made right there in the restaurant with a bittersweet dark chocolate blend, fudge sauce, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top! It’s available until the end of March.
Shake Shack says it’s going to be switching flavors up every few months to make room for seasonal treats. This first lineup for winter is a great introduction to the program, not to mention it brings high hopes for future flavors. What will be in store for spring and summer?
The shakes are $5.79 each and are available in all U.S. locations, excluding stadiums and JFK Airport. The specially made Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate is $3.89 for those who are looking for the hot drink of the season. Happy winter!hot chocolate, milkshakes, seasonal dessert, Shake Shack, winter
Shake Shack Is All About Chicken Right Now
By Cooking Panda
Eater reports that in an earnings call with investors, the Shack revealed some new plans coming soon. First, you may remember that Chick’n Shack sandwiches were released nationwide in January 2016. The fried chicken sandwiches became very popular very fast, and Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti said that “[t]he introduction of chicken marks a new era for Shake Shack, staying true to our core menu while continuing to innovate new items our guests have asked for.” It has since become one of the Shack’s top three best-selling menu items.
Fast forward to today’s news and we can talk about the first of three plans in the works:
Limited-time-only chicken sandwiches in 2017
The limited-time-only chicken sandwich will be accompanied by a limited-time-only burger as well. The burger, called The Barbecue Shackmeister, will be topped with beer-marinated crispy shallots and Shack barbecue sauce, and its chicken friend, called the Barbecue Chick’n Shack, will be a crispy chicken breast, also topped with Shack barbecue sauce. Keep an eye out for these, as the actual release date isn’t clear, but they are said to be debuting about a quarter into the year into 2017 (April?).
Aside from the chicken news, you’ll also start seeing a limited-time trio of shakes during the holiday season, so keep an eye out for that as well!
Expansion of mobile-ordering
Next, the chain is focusing on app-order expansion. It has begun offering app ordering in New York’s Midtown East Shack, which has been cutting down on wait time in the store. Now, the app is being expanded to two more New York locations. One is on the Upper East Side, the other in Brooklyn. “As it’s tested, we will patiently roll it out [elsewhere] over time,” says Garutti. Looking forward to it!
Delivery is still offered through third-party apps, and that’s not expected to change.
Currently, breakfast is available in a few select Shacks, and as that is tested, new grab’n’go options will be available, along with coffee, juice and sausage sandwiches. Let’s hope these changes make their way nationwide as well!App Ordering, breakfast, Chicken sandwiches, Shake Shack
Shake Shack Is Giving Away Free Burgers! Don’t Walk! Run!
By Cooking Panda
The 12-year-old restaurant opened its first location in Madison Square Park in New York City and is already planning a grand opening for restaurant number 100! On August 16, Shake Shack will be celebrating the opening of its Boston Seaport location by giving away free burgers.
The first 100 guests at every restaurant worldwide will get a free ShackBurger®, or a burger of equal or lesser value, before 12 p.m., reports Shake Shack. This excludes ball parks and stadiums so make sure to visit an independent location.
All U.S. locations will open at 10:30 a.m., and the deal runs until noon. Burgers for breakfast? I’m in!
Shake Shack is celebrated as a modern day burger and hot dog “stand” and also sells frozen custard, crinkle-fries and beer and wine (at select locations). It’s known for using 100% all natural beef and natural cage-free chicken with no added hormones or antibiotics, which really sets them apart from a lot of other food chains. It actually started as a hot dog kiosk and has grown into the giant we see today.
According to Fortune, Shake Shack has locations in London, Tokyo, Instanbul, 15 U.S. states, and Washington, D.C. It seems they’re really making an impact, and not just here in the U.S! Make sure and venture out to the location nearest you and get your free burger on August 16.
Don’t forget to go early so you can be part of the first 100!
