Take A Look At Starbucks’ New Pokemon Go Frappuccino
By Cooking Panda
It’s finally here to view!
The new Pokemon Go generation 2 has launched, and in celebration it has partnered with Starbucks to release a new, limited-time Frappuccino.
Gotta catch em all — all those amazing icy caffeine and sugar-filled blended frappes of deliciousness, that is!
Most Starbucks locations have also converted into in-game PokeStops or Gyms for the promotion as well, making the coffee chain any Pokemon Go player’s destination of choice for a dose of caffeine as well as a gamer’s hang-out paradise.
For thirsty fans of the game, the Pokemon Go Frappuccino is made with Starbucks’ classic Vanilla Bean Frappuccino base, and then blended with a delicious mix of raspberry syrup and freeze-dried whole blackberries (um, yum?!). Finally, Brand Eating reports that it is then topped with a delicious dollop of whipped cream.
Sure, it doesn’t necessarily scream Pokemon (we would have imagined something yellow, like a Pikachu, but that’s just us) — however, it sounds yummy, smoothie-like and we can never say no to some fruit-flavored boosts. Maybe it’ll provide antioxidants and energy for Pokemon trainers on the go?

Pokemon Coffee Is Launching At Starbucks!
By Cooking Panda
Gotta catch em all — in a size tall, extra whip?
We all remember the crazy Pokemon Go launch in Summer 2016; it was a mania that swept the nation, and spurred people to go outside of the comfort of their homes in order to emulate our collective hero Ash Ketchum in his quest to become a Pokemon master.
Plenty of businesses, after realizing the massive popularity of the game, hopped on the Pokemon bandwagon, adapting their business plans to draw in players to their establishments or services (Yelp, for instance, launched a feature that alerted users to Pokemon Go stops).
Now, Starbucks employees have leaked on Reddit that the coffee chain is all set to launch a Pokemon Go promotion nationwide beginning on Dec. 8.
“This is more evidence that Starbucks is planning on a HUGE Pokemon update leaked off of their official employee’s upcoming promotions web page, today,” the Reddit user posted. “This was taken from someone I know who works for Starbucks and has been keeping tabs on whats going on for me.”
According to the leak, Pokemon Go’s “generation 2” will be introduced by the promotion, in which a large margin of Starbucks stores and cafes are slated to officially turn into designated Pokemon Go destinations, as well as introduce a new slew of characters — maybe up to 100, according to rumors!
“On the 8th, each Starbucks will get a “Frappachino” icon where the trainer has to engage it. Once the trainer engages the frappachino, it is unclear if there is going to be some sort of code or presentation that will allow that trainer to then go inside Starbucks to purchase it (customers that are NOT playing Pokemon go will NOT be eligible for this beverage.. this way Niantic can track if the event was a success),” the Reddit user explained.
“At the time of purchase, the trainer will claim a rumored-to-be UNRELEASED Pokemon.”

A Struggling Ice Cream Shop Is Back In Business, Thanks To Pokemon Go Players
By Cooking Panda
Pat yourselves on the backs, Pokemon GO players, because your devotion to the game has helped save a struggling ice cream shop from closing permanently.
After Yelp updated its search features to include a Poke-stop filter, it became clear that Pokemon GO was a game with a lot of power — and we bet nobody is willing to testify on its behalf more than Gary Dear, the owner of Mad Hatter’s Ice Cream in Anacortes, Washington.
According to KING, players from miles around have been flocking to Dear’s ice cream shop for a frozen treat, due to its close proximity to several Poke-stops.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expected it to end up like this,” Dear said. “I’ve never seen anything take off like this.”
Ever since Dear opened his store, he’s faced a number of issues: In fact, his financial struggles were so prominent that he was even forced to close his doors temporarily as he recovered from an illness connected to his time spent in the Navy.
Pokemon GO to the rescue! Two weeks after Dear reopened to the public, the game took off — now, Dear estimates his ice cream sales as having doubled and even tripled on select nights; he has also been able to add more employees, and extend his open hours.
“The Pokey light shines down on me!” he joked to KING — and fans of both the game and Dear’s ice cream agree.
“It was a shame to see him close up shop. We’re glad he’s back,” said Rick Miller, who is playing the game with his daughter. “Some people are very frustrated with Pokemon GO; he loves it.”

Catch All 7 Of These Stunning Pokemon-Inspired Cocktails
By Cooking Panda
I want to be the very best / Like no one ever was / To catch them is my real test / To drink them is my cause…
Read on to find out how to Drink Them All:
More like “melted gummy candy shots,” but that didn’t have the same ring to it. Alcohol, I choose you!
Three different flavors of margarita slushies to represent the three different teams. Team Instinct’s yellow should be the smallest layer on the bottom for obvious reasons, while Team Valor’s red should reign supreme with a nice tasty layer on top. Naturally. (Cue hate mail from the three people on Team Instinct.)
This drink is stunning but actually super easy and delicious. All you need is Malibu rum (or something similar), melon liqueur and blue curacao. Garnish with edible flowers and mint.
A.k.a. Rosemary and Rhubarb, featuring apple vodka and rhubarb syrup, among other things.
(Also known as the Ginger Smash) Pineapple, ginger, rum, and a few other tasty things. If you want to be less subtle, garnish with a few extra pineapple leaves.
This is just a Blue Hawaiian (cream of coconut, blue curacao, pineapple juice, light rum) garnished with a pineapple slice. If you want to go full Vaporeon, add an extra slice on the other side.
Basically just another reason to drink a super-tasty alcoholic milkshake with ears on it. Feel free to add candy eyes if you have little chocolates or something else that would work.
Official disclaimer: Team Valor will rein supreme.

Stop Everything And Go Get A Pokemon Frappucino From Starbucks!
By Cooking Panda
Pokemon Go fans: Have you ever been trekking all over town on a hot day to try and find that elusive Snorlax and noticed yourself in need of refreshment? If this sounds like something you go through on the daily (or weekly), you’ll want to listen up.
“Secret menu” Frappuccinos crafted to look like Pokeballs are popping up at various Starbucks locations all around the world. We aren’t positive who first came up with the idea for the colorful drink that resembles the iconic red-and-white ball used to catch Pokemon, but Business Insider first reported the drink order surfacing in New Zealand:
It’s not an official Starbucks drink, so unless your local coffee shop has an advertised special, make your barista’s life easier and tell them to start with a Vanilla Frappuccino in the bottom half of your cup and then layer a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino in the top half before topping with strawberry whipped cream. We’re not sure that all Starbucks locations have the pink whipped cream, but it won’t hurt to ask.
If you’re interested in something a little more decadent, check out this one from Korea. It has whipped cream, mocha drizzle, and a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino with a disembodied cake pop blended right in:
We aren’t totally sure how it comes together, but it looks like somebody went ahead and ordered one, and it looks delightful:
Either of the Pokeball drinks are super gorgeous and sound like a delicious reward after accidentally walking four miles chasing rare Pokemon and hatching those eggs.
Just remember, whether you’re ordering a Pokeball Frappuccino, the famous summery Pink Drink, or anything else that you don’t see on the menu, it’s a good idea to know what goes into the drink before you ask for it, as there’s no guarantee that your barista will know what you’re talking about.
“Starbucks does not have an official ‘secret menu,’ however our customers are always trying out new ways to customize their favorite drinks according to their personal taste preferences,” a Starbucks spokesperson told The Motley Fool.Pokeball drink, Pokemon Frappuccino, Pokemon Go, Starbucks, Starbucks secret menu

Pokemon Fans In Japan Are Catching ‘Em All At McDonald’s
By Cooking Panda
The power of Pokemon truly knows no bounds.
As much as I’d like to say that this news is shocking, if I’m being honest: it isn’t. Not at all.
How many times in the past two weeks have I been walking down the street, only to spot large gaggles of people standing in the middle of my path, frantically trying to catch the first non-Pidgy Pokemon in their path? Too many times, folks.
Ash Ketchum, we have a problem.
Now Japan is getting a sample taste of what it’s going to be like when Pokemon Go finally launches. Bloomberg reports the launch has been delayed, by the way, due to fears that Japan’s server capacity won’t be powerful enough to keep up with the expected demand, which is massive. As a result, some McDonald’s locations in Japan are offering Pokemon toys.
As expected, the promotion is a huge success. Per Bloomberg, McDonald’s Holdings Co. (Japan) reports a share jump of as much as 23 percent, which is the largest daily gain since it started giving away Pokemon character figurines with sales of Happy Meals one Friday in July 2001.
“Investors are flocking to Pokemon-related stocks and McDonald’s Japan is one of those benefiting from the boom,” said Mitsushige Akino, a Tokyo-based executive officer at Ichiyoshi Asset Management Co. “The boom came at a time when McDonald’s business has already started recovering and there’s expectation that the Pokemon toy offering will further increase customer traffic to their shops.”
I’ve got to hand it to them — if anything was going to help the hamburger chain recover from a series of food safety scandals, Pokemon is it.
According to Bloomberg, shares in the Japan unit of McDonalds Corp. have risen 9.9 percent as of 11 a.m. in Tokyo trading July 19, which helped make the benchmark Topix index rise .2 percent.japan, mcdonald's, mcdonalds japan, pokemon, Pokemon Go
