Hellooooo Oreo Crumbles!

Treat Yourself To New Cadbury Chocolate-Covered Oreos (Photos)

By Cooking Panda

Oreos and Cadbury have teamed up for a smooth, crunchy treat you’ll want to devour as soon as you see it: Oreo cookies enrobed in creamy Cadbury milk chocolate.

Needless to say, social media users are quite pleased.

The catch? At the moment, Cadbury Coated Oreos are only available in Australia, according to PopSugar. If you live in the States, you’ll have to live vicariously through those Down Under with photos of the double-chocolate dessert. It’s cruel and unjust, but luckily there are ways to satisfy your craving for extra-indulgent chocolate sandwich cookies.

You could make your own Cadbury Coated Oreo dupes, so long as you melt your own Cadbury milk chocolate bars and dip Oreos, fondue-style, into the silky liquid. Even better, you can add custom designs with melted white chocolate or colorful icing. Here’s how to achieve perfect chocolate-dipped Oreos at home.

Thankfully, you are also free to order other ultra-chocolaty Oreo goods online, as this isn’t the first time Oreos and chocolate brands have created beautiful things together.

There’s the Milka Oreo Big Crunch Chocolate Candy Bar, available here. Crunchy Oreos are enrobed in luscious vanilla cream, then encased in a layer of milk chocolate.

Then there are Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs, which are, you guessed it, familiar milk-chocolate eggs containing a true treasure: velvety cookies and cream filling. Snag a mini version here.

There is also the truly insane Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon with Oreo. The sugary contents are intended to be devoured with an included spoon until the consumer is left with a sweet egg to be eaten then or later. Order them immediately here

More of a baker than a buyer? You’ve got plenty of homemade, Oreo-rich dessert options, like our frozen Oreo peanut butter pie, featuring an Oreo crust with a peanut butter cream cheese filling that is sinfully bursting with peanut butter cups and chocolate chips. It’s chilled until set and finished with as much peanut butter as you dare to drizzle.

You can also get a head start on warming up for winter with our gooey Oreo lava cake. It’s made extra mouthwatering with Oreo pudding and an entire cup of chocolate chips.

We Need Jelly Donut Oreos Now! (Photo)

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

If you’re a fan of Oreos (and, let’s be honest, who isn’t?) there’s some good news for you.

Exciting things are happening in the Oreo world, my friends. Big things, indeed.

First, we learned that Oreo O’s cereal is coming back to U.S. supermarkets after a 10-year absence.

O My, is right, because who doesn’t want to eat a bowl of Oreo-flavored cereal?

Second, Nabisco is releasing a fun line of limited-time only Oreo flavors.

There were Waffles & Syrup Oreos at Albertsons, Mississippi Mud Oreos at Dollar General, and now, Jelly Donut Oreos at Walmart.

That’s right, folks. Starting this weekend you can get Jelly Donut Oreos at Walmart stores nationwide.

But only for a limited time, of course. Because nothing gold (or jelly-donut flavored) can stay.

“The cookies feature Golden Oreo wafers with a dual-flavored creme filling that is raspberry-flavored in the center and custard-flavored on the outer ring,” reports Brand Eating.

During the Oreo Vote program held last year, Walmart and Nabisco asked customers which Oreo flavors they’d like to see offered at Walmart stores nationwide, according to Thrillist.

Although Jelly Donut eventually lost to Cookies and Creme, Walmart decided to offer it as well anyway.

Let’s reflect for a moment on how people voted for a cookie flavor that is actually an ice cream flavor based on Oreo cookies. Inception.

In other happy Oreo news, world-renowned gourmet pastry chef Dominque Ansel has teamed up with Nabisco to create an Oreo cookie spread. This is the guy who invented the cronut (croissant-donut) as well as the milk-and-cookie shots that you’ve seen all over foodie Instagram accounts.

According to Eater, the Oreo spread is being offered exclusively at Ansel’s bakery in the Soho neighborhood of New York City and contains milk-flavored and dark chocolate ganache, in addition to Oreo chocolate wafer bits. Although the spread will only be available on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, Ansel’s bakery is giving it out for free while it lasts.

So, if you’re a true Oreo lover, you might want to get in line early. Be there Oreo be square.

Oreo Has Released A New, Yummy Sounding Ice Cream (Photo)

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Summer is coming, and that means more ice cream treats for you and me. The best part? You can now get Oreo peanut butter ice cream sandwiches.

Metro reports that the new ice cream sandwiches can be found on the shelves of most major supermarkets. They feature peanut butter ice cream infused with crumbles of Oreo cookie and sandwiched between two bigger Oreo cookies.

Oreo peanut butter ice cream sandwich was bloody yum!! 6 syns each & so worth it!

A post shared by Danii Overy (@_coffeeandcake) on

I guess they hit us with this tempting new treat just in time, since we’ve all been in that peanut butter-chocolate mood since Easter. When is a peanut butter chocolate egg really enough, anyway?

According to Heat World, Oreo’s peanut butter flavor for the regular (non-frozen) cookie has been around since 2015. That means Oreo already knows how much we love the combination of their classic cookie with peanut butter. Some of us even used to dip the regular vanilla kind into peanut butter as we ate them. Now, we don’t have to! These new ice cream sandwiches can be bought in separate packages, or in packages of six. Who can really eat just one?

It might be fun to see what you can do with these sandwiches in the form of recipes, as well. We all know that chocolate and peanut butter pies, and Oreo pies, are all the rage. What about an Oreo peanut butter chocolate ice cream pie? That would be the perfect pool (or birthday) party crowd-pleaser. Just think of all the possibilities!

If peanut butter isn’t your thing, don’t worry. There are still Oreo-flavored Klondike Bars for your fulfillment. Vanilla ice cream is blended with Oreo cookie pieces and covered in a chocolate candy shell, the Klondike way. Grab it in a six pack from your local grocery store. Hey, why not even try that in ice cream cake form?

While the Easter candy is still out (and on sale for pretty cheap), go ahead and snag yourself some of the remaining Oreo chocolate eggs, too. Just to be thorough, you know.

You can never have too much Oreo stuff!

Where To Get Peeps Italian Ice!

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Peeps are all the rage this spring thanks to other snack brands partnering up and creating Peeps-inspired versions of their own products. Rita’s Italian Ice has been bringing the Peeps flavor back each year for eager customers.

Cosmopolitan reports that this year’s Peeps flavor will be available at Rita’s Italian Ice for a limited time starting March 27. Rita’s does a special Italian ice giveaway each year on the first day of spring. This year marked the 25th anniversary of that tradition, which made March 20 the perfect time to make the Peeps announcement. The new flavor was made available in select locations on that date, so you might have already had a chance to sample one. The rest of us have to wait in eager anticipation for March 27.

The new Italian ice flavor is expected to taste just like the real thing, according to Hello Giggles. It’s also expected to be available until April 7, or until supplies run out, so plan your trip accordingly. The Peeps Italian ice flavor has quite the following after it’s been offered for previous years, and fans are taking to social media to express their excitement …

If Italian ice isn’t your thing, you can always try the Peeps-flavored Oreo! According to USA Today, Peeps Oreos have been released, and they feature a vanilla cookie with a pink marshmallow Peeps-flavored cream. If Peeps fans are thrilled, then Oreo fans should be, too! Peeps are the springtime staple candy, after all.

Celebrate spring any way you choose, but if you don’t find a way to incorporate Peeps, you’re probably doing it wrong. Most of us will be carrying a pack of Peeps Oreos while standing in line at Rita’s Italian Ice.

Cadbury Is Bringing Peanut Butter And Mint Oreo Bars

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Peanut butter and mint Oreo chocolate bars? Sign me up! Cadbury and Oreo seem to be learning that a partnership between the two of them is just what this world needed.

Cosmopolitan reports that the Oreo Mint and Oreo Peanut Butter flavors are available now in the U.K. “We are delighted to add these two sumptuous new flavors to the classic Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo, giving chocolate lovers even more ways to enjoy their favorite treat,” the brand manager at Mondelez said of the new candy flavors.

“Tasty and irresistible, the peanut butter variant will appeal to those who love the current peanut butter trend, while the delicious mint flavor will no doubt delight those who love a classic combination.”

Metro UK was so excited to learn about this new flavor combo that they decided to do a taste-test of both varieties. The first they tried was the Oreo Mint chocolate bar. The consensus on that bar was that it was like a “much-improved Aero,” the holes in which were apparently too distracting. I haven’t had one, so I wouldn’t know. The Oreo Peanut Butter bar was reportedly “just peanut-y enough.” All in all, the unanimous vote was of approval from the news team!

Both bars are made with Cadbury chocolate (of course) and feature either a peanut butter, or mint filling — depending on which you’re opting for — with chunks of chocolate Oreo cookie mixed in.

The sad news, which comes from Refinery29, is that the new chocolate bars are only available in the U.K. We won’t be seeing them in the U.S. until further notice. Refinery29 does maintain, however, that we shouldn’t lose hope. Since it’s happened in the past that consumer demand has brought new flavors into the U.S., we may not be out of line in hoping it happens again.

Until that day, we can satisfy ourselves with the Oreo Eggs that we do have, sort of a consolation prize (in my opinion) for not having the Cadbury Oreo Egg here, and probably just as good. Let’s just stock up on those and bide our time.

Check Out These Four New Oreo Flavors! (Photos)

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

If you are anything like us, you are totally on board with Oreo’s constant pumping out of new and interesting flavors.

Sometimes they’ll go with something seasonal and expected, like the Pumpkin Spice variety. Sometimes they’ll do a play on a pre-existing classic, like the Swedish Fish Oreos. Sometimes they’ll try to Oreo-ception us with Cookies n’ Creme Flavored cookies, which is basically just crushed up Oreos stuffed inside Oreos.

    They’re always up to something!

Now, according to the Candy Hunting Instagram, there are four totally new flavors being workshopped in the Oreo Vault, and they are slated to potentially hit shelves sometime in 2017.

First up is the one we are most excited for: New Waffles & Syrup Oreos.

Next is the Firework Oreos, slated to be released in early summer 2017. They contain popping candy on the inside of them, making them the perfect Fourth of July treat.

The Jelly Donut Oreos are the ones we are most skeptical about, but have the potential to be super delicious.

Finally, the new Mississippi Mud Pie Oreos, with chocolate and whipped cream flavor creme.

You heard it here first! New Mississippi Mud Pie Oreos will be out this summer!

Cadbury’s Mini Cookies ‘N Cream Eggs Look Awesome

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Remember in January, when we discussed the new Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs? We were a little bummed that those were only available in Canada and the U.K., but we haven’t had to be bummed for long.

As it turns out, Cadbury has come up with a cookies ‘n cream indulgence for the U.S., too, and it’s sold exclusively at Target. Popsugar reports that the new Chocolate Crunch and Creme Mini Cadbury Eggs are made with ‘”white candy and cookies with a crisp sugar shell.”‘ Judging by the image below from Candy Hunting on Instagram, they’ll be snackable sizes of crunchy cookies and cream, Cadbury style.

They can also be described as cookies and cream Cadbury mini eggs, This is mini version of those Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs we just mentioned. If you’ve been dying to try those, you might get just what you want out of these instead. They’re just a cute mini version!

However, if this doesn’t quite satisfy your craving, you’re in even more luck. According to Thrillist, Oreo has come up with its own version of the Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs for the U.S. The eggs aren’t made with Cadbury, so it’s not Cadbury chocolate, but I guess Oreo felt the need to grant us our wish anyway. An Oreo spokesperson told Thrillist that the new egg would be called the Oreo Egg, and stressed that Cadbury would not be involved.

I guess it sounds like we’re not getting the Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs in the U.S., but I do feel satisfied that what we are getting is so close, it’s probably just as good. Who knows how to create a cookies and cream filling better than Oreo, anyhow? Not all chocolate is created equal, of course, but I have a feeling these Oreo Eggs with the non-Cadbury chocolate will be strikingly similar in quality. I look forward to seeing them on shelves (which should already be happening!).

Altogether, we now have two very tempting spring candies to look forward to as the weather warms up. Chocolate Crunch and Creme Mini Cadbury Eggs and Oreo Eggs are a sure sign that this spring will be oh so sweet.

We’re Ready For New Peeps Oreos

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Oreo is always coming out with new limited edition flavors, and Peeps is always coming out with limited edition flavors, so it only makes sense that the two would work together to create a Peeps-flavored Oreo. It just seems so perfect!

Now, we aren’t sure when these will be available to purchase and try, but we do know that Instagram user “The Junk Food Aisle” has seen the new package on Walmart’s website:

With golden Oreo cookie pieces and a pink marshmallowy center, this cookie will be perfect for spring … and spring is right around the corner. Perhaps this mean that Peeps Oreo availability is right around the corner also. At the very least we should all keep our eyes peeled. As far as that’s concerned, what are the other combinations that could possibly come from this? You know, like a Peeps flavored like Oreos? Peeps Cookies ‘n’ Cream? Let’s try both and see which mashup is better.

In the meantime, while we wait for our new gold and pink spring Oreos to hit the market, let’s do some reminiscing about some of Oreo’s best limited edition flavors.  Did you ever get a chance to try the Marshmallow Crispy Oreo flavor? That one is also a golden Oreo, but the cream inside has crunchy bits of a Rice Krispies Treat inside. Popsugar taste-tested this Oreo treat and it passed with flying colors!

Another Popsugar favorite was the Cookie Dough Oreo, but not because it actually tasted like cookie dough. Apparently, that flavor tasted more like a mocha Oreo with chocolate chips in it. OK, maybe this one wasn’t a Popsugar favorite as much as it was a favorite for me. Let’s be honest … a Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino flavor of Oreo sounds amazing. If that’s what this tastes like, then why would it not be a favorite?

I think we’re all hoping the new Peeps flavor will be a hit like these two flavors were, but in the case that it isn’t, there’s always next time!

You Can Now Apply To Get Paid To Taste-Test Chocolate!

    By Cooking Panda

Everybody stop what you’re doing and listen up: We have the sweetest news ever to share!

It turns out that Mondelez International is clearly not only in the chocolate business — it is also in the business of making our gosh dang dreams come true, because it is offering up a position on its team for a professional chocolate taster.

That’s right. If you’ve ever bitten into a Cadbury, Oreo, Prince or Milks bar and fallen instantly in love with the lush, chocolatey profiles of those candies — and let’s face it, who among us hasn’t? — then you probably don’t want to pass up the opportunity to snack on those bad boys for a freaking living. And now one lucky person can!

The position is part-time, according to the Linked In posting, and will have the lucky employee working 7.5 hours a week Tuesday-Thursday. Just check out what qualifications Mondelez International requires of its pick:

    • A passion for confectionary and taste buds for detection
    • Honesty when it comes to giving an opinion
    • Eager to try new inventive products
    • A communicative personality to build great relationships with your panel
    • A firm grasp of the English Language

Unfortunately, we have a bad feeling that we’re ineligible for the position, as one of the key responsibilities Mondelez asks of its future employee is to “use a clearly defined vocabulary to describe products and aid in the discrimination between products.” We can already foresee ourselves biting into various chocolates and simply losing all of our words as we just drool in pleasure.

If you are a cocoa lover and more eloquent than we know ourselves to be, don’t hesitate! Mondelez International is taking applications now and we’re sure it’s going to be a very competitive process, especially considering that Mondelez offers, according to its Linked In, “financial rewards and resources, including bonus scheme, contributory pension, life assurance, generous holiday allowance and a flexible benefits program.”

Apply here for the “Chocolate and Cocoa Beverage Taster” position, and good luck!

Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs Exist, And We Need Them Now (Photos)

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Sure, we’re in the dead of winter, but why can’t we start planning for beautiful spring? Part of spring planning always involves getting into the Cadbury Egg craze. This year, let’s beg Oreo for the Oreo Cadbury Creme egg with which Canada and the U.K. have been blessed.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Canada and the U.K. get all the best stuff? I’m probably speaking from an especially jealous place right now, but just look at these eggs!

Popsugar reports that this irresistible candy blend consists of a chocolate shell with a white chocolate and Oreo center. Here, take a look at another picture so we can dream about it together:

Best thing that was ever made so good!!!!#oreocadbury #cadburyeggs #omg #chocolate

As if this isn’t enough, The Independent reports that there’s been a new release of a mini version of this amazing flavor combo. It’s called the Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Oreo, and comes in a cute little purple egg carton. The egg is made with thick vanilla mousse and Oreo pieces, and somehow sounds even better than the ones mentioned above.

A spokesperson for Cadbury says, “We are always innovating our product ranges and there are lots of exciting things to come from the Cadbury brand this year and beyond.” Does this mean it’s safe for those of us who live in the U.S. to hope? I guess I’m doing so regardless.

“As part of our Easter range this year we have launched new Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Oreo, which is available alongside our existing Oreo Easter products including the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Shell Egg and the Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Easter Egg Sharing Bag,” the spokesperson added.

Even if I never get to try the mini Egg ‘n’ Spoon Oreo eggs, I still hope it comes with an actual mini spoon, like it shows on the package, because that is just too cute. Crack open the top and eat it like a soft-boiled egg. I would have so much fun with this.

In the meantime, we can satisfy ourselves with the Milka/Oreo candy bar combo that’s probably just as delicious and indulgent.

Oreo’s Latest Cookie Flavor Actually Looks Awesome

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Oreo is known for always coming out with fun new flavors, especially when it comes to seasonal flavors, like the white fudge covered versions for the winter holidays. Now, it’s already time for a new flavor! Get excited for the Chocolate Strawberry Oreo.

One lucky Delish editor stumbled across these gems at a Target in Kansas, and they are creatively beautiful. The Oreos are stuffed with chocolate filling, with just a dab of strawberry filling located right in the center. It’s reported that the package emits a strong strawberry smell when opened. These will be perfect for Valentine’s Day!

If you’re Oreo-obsessed like most of us are, and want to make sure you’ve tried all the best flavors, refer to this comprehensive list that Thrillist so caringly put together for everyone’s benefit. It compares 25 Oreo flavors, ranked from good to best. The new Chocolate Strawberry Oreo is not on the list, since it’s so new. Also not on the list are the Cinnamon Bun Oreos, so when we say “comprehensive,” we mean within reason. Let’s be honest, there are a few flavors that are either too new, or were too short-lived to make the list.

Anyhow, Thrillist rates the Reese’s Oreo Mini as the absolute best flavor. It’s said that these are “bite-sized peanut butter/chocolate bombs that have that signature Oreo crunch.” Who wouldn’t enjoy them? Also included on the list are Oreo Minis — pretty self-explanatory — Birthday Cake, S’mores, Key Lime Pie, Lemon and Mint.

Many of the other flavors that made the top 25 list are much closer to the classic Oreo, with the chocolate cookies and the original white stuffing. There are the Oreo Thins, the much-loved Double Stuf, Reduced Fat and Mega Stuf. You can even try the Heads or Tails Double Stuf, if you like both the Golden and regular Oreo and don’t want to have to choose one over the other!

Regardless of the Chocolate Strawberry Oreo not being on the top 25 list, it’s probably deserving of a spot, once everyone’s had a chance to try it. Try it now and see what you think!

This Oreo Tin Is The Perfect Holiday Gift

    category:

    By Cooking Panda

Do you have a holiday gift exchange coming up? How about a parent or grandparent to shop for, who loves cookies and other sweets? If you’re looking for ideas, look no further. This Oreo tin is perfect.

Not only is Oreo milk’s favorite cookie, it’s almost everyone else’s favorite too. Oreo seems to know this as well, and that’s why they’re offering a limited-edition holiday tin for gift-giving! Delish reports that Oreo has repackaged its limited-edition White Fudge variety for the season, so we can all go nuts over it.

The tin is available on Oreo’s new gifting website. It comes in a 2-pack for $19.99. To order, you can simply go on the site gifts.oreo.com and enter the email or phone number of the person to whom it should be delivered. It may even be to yourself, because, you know, treat yourself. It’s been a hard year.

Click “Start Gifting” and enter the name of the person and a message for him or her to receive upon opening the gift. Shipping is free and once you proceed to checkout, your lucky friend will get a message alerting him/her to the gift. You can even view a sample of what it will look like for that person to receive the digital part of the present by clicking “Preview a sample gift.”

Check out the sample gift to see how your message pops up next to a digital box wrapped with a bow that’s just begging to be opened. There’s a button underneath that says “Open my gift.” This would surely be a fun way of receiving any present. Once the receiver chooses to open the gift, the lid flies off the box to reveal the White Fudge Oreo Holiday Tin 2-Pack, all decked out in festive snow, ornaments and red bows. Next, all your friend has to do is fill out an address for the tin to be delivered to and that’s that! Click “Ship my gift,” and it’s off!

I don’t see much about an expiration date on this gift, so maybe recipients can even wait until that Oreo craving hits.
