Man Travels World Taking Pictures Of Pizza (Photos)
By Cooking Panda
There are no shortages of Instagram niches. Accounts dedicated to beautiful round dishes, beautiful round faces, and beautiful round bottoms are by no means rare. “Baddie” grandmas sporting youth culture clothing line Huf and Obey and shoddy taxidermy animals are few and far between. But one niche that has long suffered an over-saturation of accounts, sometimes indistinguishable from another, is the wayfaring Instagram accounts, complete with equally over-saturated photos and impossible crowd-free shots of exotic landmarks.
Globetrotting Phil Duncan seems like the traditional travel blogger/Instagrammer. But his exploration doesn’t just start with an excellent photo and caption, nor are his motives driven by “wanderlust.” If anything, it’s hungerlust.
Traveling to over 30 countries across five continents, British bloke and Seattle resident Phil documents these expeditions one slice at a time on his befitting travel blog, Travel Slice. Other impressive stats: he’s got 335 Instagram posts (containing pizza and his six-pack abs) and over 20,000 followers.
The 28-year-old told Thrillist that he noticed his friends paid more attention to his pizza photos on his Instagram than any others. So he made it a point to capture all the pizza he was eating throughout his travels from “the largest cities in the world” to “some tiny remote islands in the middle of nowhere,” he told Elite Daily.
Wherever you go, he says, you’ll always find pizza.
Having eaten his way through 30 countries, he says that there does exist a bad slice of pizza. Apparently, it’s in Argentina. “Possibly the worst pizza I’ve had.” Asked about his favorite pizza destination, the Instagrammer picked — as anyone could have guessed — New York city. No place in particular, but he says he’s eaten a lot of good pizza in the Big Apple, so it takes the cake (or slice).
Surprisingly, the presumed home of pizza, Italy, was not on Phil’s travel list. But he hopes to one day soon do a pilgrimage and experience pizza to its fullest by learning to make one himself, the true Italian way. The Seattle-based Instagrammer revealed that he dreams to open his own pizza restaurant one day.
You Know You Want All Of These Dodger Dogs (Photos)
By Cooking Panda
When you see this sign, you know good things are in store.
You know what’s coming, so you get this excited:
That’s right! A Dodger Dog can be all yours!
Obviously, they taste best during a sweet victory!
But they’re still tasty any time, especially when you smother them in pico de gallo and all that good stuff!
And you can’t go wrong with some seasoned fries on the side …
Who even needs sandwiches when you can smother your hot dog with mountains of pastrami and pickles?
Throw some peppers and onions on there for good measure.
Or keep it simple with more conventional fare.
Either way, you’re gonna have a good time.
And you can’t really beat the scenery …
So. Dang. Gooood.
Pretty sure Kershaw’s jealous of everyone with a dog. I know I am.
A look back at my second, and quite possibly last time at Dodger Stadium. Clearly I was more excited about the food than anything happening on the field. Speaking of which, did you all know that Dodger dogs come vegan?! ???? . . . . . . . Someone asked me if I was watching the game. My response: “what game?” Nevertheless, here’s to all you baseball fans out there. Enjoy your moment! #happyworldseries #dodgers #thisteam #dodgerstadium #dodgerdog #vegan #becauseLA #baseball #dodgerblue #LAteam #whatgame #stillnotafan #ofbaseball #onlyteamdoinganythingrightnow #butbasketballseasonisyoung #lakergang ?? #live #eatgolearnlive

Is Starbucks Releasing Unicorn Frappuccinos Soon (Photo)?
By Cooking Panda
Are Unicorn-themed drinks and snacks the new Rainbow viral food trend?
The answer is … maybe! After a user on Reddit posted a photo of what they called a “Unicorn Frappuccino,” many on the internet are speculating that the food industry is about to really start pushing the whole unicorn thing, perhaps in a bid to appeal to a slightly younger, more malleable foodie crowd.
We’re talking tweens and the like.
One Reddit user speculates that the drink likely features a white mocha cream-based Frappuccino, with the addition of mango and a new, bright pink powder that Starbucks employees allegedly have received also in the mix. Next, all ingredients are blended, poured into a cup, topped with mango, then topped with whipped cream, and finally finished off with a sprinkle of “blue unicorn dust.”
By the way, I’m serious when I type that out. Another Redditor already took a photo (which has been removed, unfortunately) and that blue vial is actually labeled “Unicorn Dust” and purportedly tastes sour.
If shipments are already coming in with all of this dust and all of this speculation, I’d say it’s highly likely that the new Unicorn Frappuccino is probably all slated to debut at participating Starbucks locations sometime before June 2017. If you ask me, 4/20 would probably be a good time for it to launch.
However, according to this Instagram account, the Frappuccinos really are all set to launch between April 19-April 23, and judging from this bird’s-eye view of the drinks, they are just as gorgeous and magical as they sound.
Forget tweens. This adult is definitely going to be first in line to get her hands on one of these blended drinks!food trend, instagram, Starbucks, unicorn dust, unicorn frappuccino
The Internet Is Shaming Kelly Clarkson Over Nutella (Video)
By Cooking Panda
The internet, as we all know, is both a blessing and a curse these days (video below).
On the one hand, it has given us all a way to stay instantly connected with one another; checking up on an old friend, a family member or your favorite celebrity takes little more than a click of a button.
On the other hand, the more exposure you have online, the more you open yourself up to commentary from viewers — and when the commentary is positive, it’s great. But often, a seemingly innocent post has the power to incentivize millions of viewers.
In the case of singer Kelly Clarkson, the latter happened when she posted what I’m sure she thought was an innocuous video of her 2-year-old daughter, River Rose, having her very first taste of the popular hazelnut chocolate spread, Nutella.
“River’s first Nutella experience. It should have been via crepe but toast was easier,” Clarkson wrote.
Look, I’m pretty sure nobody thinks that Nutella is a health food (and if you do, boy do I have some bad news for you), but the way the internet is reacting, it’s as though nobody’s ever heard of the phrase “everything in moderation” before!
Immediately, a league of shaming Instagrammers began commenting on the post.
“Nutella is hella bad for you,” said one user, which actually is a pretty truthful comment all things considered. But things escalated quickly:
“Stop eating Nutella it’s been confirmed to give cancer,” said another user. Um, okay … perhaps that could just be a general statement meant to warn us all. But then this commenter totally targeted Kelly:
“Yep. Start them out with cancer at an early age.”
Isn’t that going a bit too far? Listen: We should probably all make a better effort to avoid products that contain palm oil (especially for the orangutans) and strive to make mindful and healthy choices for our bodies. But commenting on a stranger’s Instagram video and lecturing them for something as insignificant as allowing their daughter a treat is not the way to go about addressing what you see as a problem.
Do you agree with the shaming Instagram warriors? Or do you think Clarkson and her daughter should be left in peace?

The Unicorn Cafe Is Real And It’s The Stuff Of Pastel Dreams (Photos)
By Cooking Panda
If unicorns were real, they’d eat exclusively at the Unicorn Cafe in Bangkok. Fit for the most majestic of mythical creatures and humans alike, the cafe is a pastel dream of rainbow furniture, plush animals and sugary delights.
It’s a magical place. A place like no other. A place where wearing a unicorn onesie while snacking on rainbow crepes and sipping on galaxy soda is not only acceptable, but highly encouraged.
As if you needed another reason to visit Thailand — or another reason to wish unicorns existed — check out the photos below.
Travel alone and don’t even be upset about it because you’ve got twelve unicorn friends!
Cake, waffles AND a milkshake? AND there’s fruit on the plate? That’s a balanced meal if we’ve ever seen one.
Ah, yes, here’s how to make up for all the drab, dull, dreary food you’ve been eating. Bonus points for the jewel-topped utensils. That’s really something.
Here’s a close-up of that radiant milkshake, its star-shaped container decorated with a sticker of which Lisa Frank would surely be proud.
The drink magic doesn’t stop at milkshakes. They’ve got sodas, too, of both the galaxy and cotton candy varieties. They’re appropriately topped with sprinkles, it would appear.
Even if the unicorns eye your food with great temptation, you shan’t go hungry; your horn-topped toast ensures it.
If sweet stuff isn’t your thing, don’t sweat it, especially if you’re a bacon lover. The cafe has rainbow spaghetti adorned with capers and hefty hunks of bacon, a unicorn bacon cheeseburger with unicorn-horn bun, and “unicorn horns” — fried horn-shaped wontons filled with bacon and mozzarella and served with a mayo sauce.
People are always talking about the lap of luxury. This must be what they mean.

Just When You Thought Sushi Couldn’t Get Any Prettier, Chefs Turned It Into Mosaics
By Cooking Panda
Sushi is indisputably a gorgeous food. There’s the balance of colors from refreshing vegetables and bright pieces of fish, the sheen of Omega-3s on fresh hunks of salmon, the comforting symmetry of each slice of sushi roll. How could it get any prettier?
The Japanese figured it out: It’s by transforming sushi into mosaics.
Foodies and Instagrammers are going nuts over the trend, which is pulled off by meticulously slicing, positioning and decorating pieces of sushi until they resemble the intricate tiles of a mosaic.
Here are a few examples of the art to tickle your fancy.
Check out the basket-weaved cucumbers on this square number. It would make the perfect lunch on a busy Monday, when only delicious and aesthetically pleasing food can numb the pain of the weekend you left behind.
Photos like these confirm our belief that Instagram’s new zoom feature was made for food. This artist’s intricate garnishes show that a little leaf goes a long way.
Here’s a more approachable yet attractive mosaic, just in case you want to try your hand at creating a sushi craft at home.
No words, only wows.
Art has no rules, and neither do sushi mosaics. This is beautiful, but all we want to do is pluck off a round sushi ball for ourselves.
Nothing says “I love you” like a heart-shaped arrangement of fish, rice and veggies, am I right?
Sushi mosaics aren’t limited to single plates; in fact, it’s best if they fill an entire table and are served buffet-style.

Step Up Your Breakfast Game With A Gorgeous Bowl Of Zoats In The Morning

I’m sure sure you’ve heard it before. You know, the old saying: Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day.
Breakfast like a king; lunch like a prince; dine like a pauper. There are countless iterations of the sentiment which all boil down to one idea: We should all be stepping up our breakfast game.
Luckily, a new twist on your average, boring bowl of morning oats has hit the online food community, and it’s reviving our enthusiasm for breakfast time. Not only is it gorgeous, it’s also healthy, and comes with a great name.
Introducing Zoats, your next claim to Instafood-fame.

IKEA Trollishly Made A Commercial Showing What Instagramming Food Would’ve Looked Like In 1750 (Video)
By Cooking Panda
You just got your paycheck, so you’re ballin’ out at that hot new brunch spot with, gasp, bottomless mimosas and chicken and waffles. Your avocado toasts arrive, and you and your friend make sure the bellinis fit perfectly in your photo frame. Oops, forgot to lie your Ray Bans nonchalantly by the sugar. There you go.
A full five minutes later, you’ve got your ‘gram. Your toast lost several degrees of crispiness, but you’ve already got 14 likes, so whatev.
You and your friend are sort of spending quality time together, but not really because you’re both constantly glancing at your phones to check that minute-to-like ratio. Your friend’s post is doing better than yours. Damn. You should’ve thrown down that extra $2 for the poached egg. Everyone knows a runny yolk adds, like, a 13 percent boost in likes. The toast isn’t as good as it looks, but eating it is so much more fun than taking pics of it.
Have you done this? Probably, and IKEA knows it. That’s why the Swedish furniture company made an awesome ad parodying our obsession with documenting our meals (video below).
The video, called “Let’s Relax,” opens in the 18th century with a bourgeois family, clearly about to chow down on an elaborate feast. A servant sets what looks like a fabulous roasted bird on the table, laden with fine fruits and silver dishes. The squad is dressed to the nines and has their forks at the ready. A girl plucks an apple from the bounty, when — not so fast! — Dad wags a finger and rings a bell for the ‘gram.
Er, the painter.
The artists and helpers storm into the dining room to paint the feast with great haste (and exceptional detail, I might add), as the family goes hungry and the food untouched. The painting is done, but it’s not time to eat, for no one has SEEN the painting!!!
Artist and helpers race their carriage throughout the town for the anxiously awaited approval of random people. A few thumbs point downward, but the feedback is mostly positive, so back to the dining room they go.
They tell the hungry family the painting was a success. The family eats. The mood improves significantly.
“It’s a meal, not a competition,” the video ends, giving us a much needed reminder to put down the phones and enjoy not only the company, but the food.
This isn’t the first time IKEA’s gotten smart on their ads. In 2015, they marketed their catalog by cleverly making fun of Apple’s “self-serious” commercials.commercial, IKEA, instagram, parody
Eat The Trend: Avocado Burger Buns Are Now A Thing
By Cooking Panda
It’s official: We have a new favorite Instagram food trend.
Say hello to avocado buns: the newest addition to the long list of photogenic food we’re constantly lusting after. Unlike some other Instagram culinary trends, however, this one is not only delicious and healthy, but also totally achievable in your own kitchen!
In fact, avocado buns are just as simple as the name suggests. Simply peal and halve an avocado, and then use the resulting green domes as a bun for your favorite meat or veggie burger!
While some people are questioning the structural integrity of avocado buns, we think that the utter culinary perfection of the trend makes up for any potential difficulties in gripping the burger. After all, when is the last time that your favorite bread bun actually held up throughout the entire burger-devouring process?
According to Eater, avocado buns are the brainchild of culinary genius fooddeco, who initially displayed the creation with a vegan chickpea patty and sesame seeds. Personally, however, we think that the avant-garde masterpiece would be even more delicious when paired with a juicy beef burger and all of its fixings.
Here at Cooking Panda, we’ll be trying out avocado buns for ourselves as soon as humanly possible. We wouldn’t be surprised if the result was so delectable that we gave up bread entirely in favor of vegetable sandwiches, toast and burgers!
Check out the gorgeous avocado bun pictures, and then try the trend for yourself. Just don’t forget a napkin (or two)!Avocado Bun, burger, instagram, trend
If You See A Sticker On Your Starbucks Logo, Your Barista Is Probably Trolling You
By Cooking Panda
Starbucks and Instagram go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Posting an image of your Pink Drink has practically become a rite of passage over the past few months, and thanks to the popularity of the coffee chain’s secret menu, we don’t anticipate that this is going to change any time soon.
Unfortunately, however, it appears that Starbucks baristas are on to (and more than a little fed up with) our social media addiction. According to Mashable, some coffee shop employees have devised a way to secretly ruin your requisite drink photo—all without you even noticing.
It practically goes without saying that the perfect Starbucks Instagram photo includes the cup’s logo, front and center. As we all know, however, this can be easily ruined if the drink’s label happens gets in the way.
Up until now, we believed such tragic mishaps were simple mistakes—the result of rush hour drink orders or accidental misplacement. Oh how wrong we were.
Reddit user bemyfuse, who works at Starbucks, recently posted an image of three Starbucks drinks with their logos obscured by labels. The photo’s caption stated, “My petty joy is putting stickers on the siren logo when annoying teenagers order millions of fraps at once, so their Instagram posts are ruined ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s the little things.”
Clearly, the ruse is up. Next time you order a secret menu item or a bunch of matching Frappuccinos with your squad, be prepared for the worst — a ruined (or logo-less) social media post.
Considering the sheer number of customers that Starbucks baristas must serve every day, we can’t say that we blame them. After all, we’re in favor of anything that adds a little fun to the day—be it a Frappuccino with extra whipped cream or a harmless prank!Barista, instagram, Logo, Starbucks, Sticker
Watching This Chef Make Pasta On Instagram Is Incredibly Soothing
By Cooking Panda
Homemade pasta is one of those things that sounds good in theory, but is infinitely more complicated and messy in real life.
For everyone who has ever tried (and failed) to make homemade pasta, however, we have found your new favorite Instagram account. The amazing social media page belongs to Miyuki Adachi, a Toronto-based pasta chef, and displays the incredibly talented culinary master rolling and forming her own pasta.
Adachi isn’t just making spaghetti and penne, though—she crafts artisanal shapes that look more like small pieces of art than edible creations. The chef uses everything from cheese graters to tweezers to form her masterpieces, and even goes so far as to create her own pattern boards in order to stamp the pasta with the most intricate designs possible.
Below, we’ve included some of her most awe-inspiring creations. Fair warning, however—we suggest that you don’t watch the videos on an empty stomach. The pasta envy is far too real.

Some foods are best in moderation.
When it comes to ice cream, however, we are firm believers in the fact that more is always better.
That’s why we’re so excited about the newest ice cream craze, started by Jersey Jack Gelato in Como, Australia. Called the Little Mostro, the ice cream extravaganza consists of a gargantuan chocolate-dipped ice cream cone filled three scoops of gelato and topped with two mini ice cream cones.
Even better? Even the mini ice cream cones are filled with even more ice cream and sauces of your choice!
As you might imagine, the Little Mostro is already taking the Instagram world by storm. It’s over the top, gorgeous, and decadent beyond belief—combining all of the necessary components for an image that will have your followers drooling with envy.

Starbucks has a new, colorful secret menu drink, and this one might just be the most delicious one yet. Called the “Orange Drink,” the exciting beverage combines orange mango juice, coconut milk, and two scoops of vanilla powder to create a tantalizing taste sensation that Food Beast likens to a classic Orange Julius.

Say Hello To The Starbucks Purple Drink, The Latest Beauty Taking Over Instagram
By Cooking Panda
Just weeks after the Starbucks Pink Drink took over Instagram, a new secret menu item is making the rounds on our favorite social media site.
Fittingly named, the new “Purple Drink” is just as beautiful as its rose-hued cousin. According to Thrillist, the drink consists of iced Passion Tango tea, soy or coconut milk, vanilla syrup, and fresh blackberries.
While the Purple Drink isn’t technically on the official Starbucks menu, that hasn’t stopped it from taking over Instagram. Luckily, however, the coffee chain doesn’t seem too concerned about the enormous popularity of its off-menu items.
“Our customers are always trying out new ways to customize their favorite drinks—Purple Drink is a perfect example of that!” Starbucks said in a statement. “We’re blown away with the reaction on social media—while this isn’t an official Starbucks drink, it’s created a lot of fandom online. If customers would like to order a beverage that is not listed on our menu, we recommend they know the recipe so that their barista can handcraft the beverage perfectly for them.”
So there we have it! Scroll through the gorgeous images of the Purple Drink that we’ve collected below, and then head to your local Starbucks to try it out for yourself. Now that you know the recipe for the Purple Drink, you can start brainstorming your own secret menu items—you never know if they might make you into an Instagram star!

Donut-Shaped Sushi Is Now A Thing
By Cooking Panda
Vegan food rarely sets our hearts aflutter, but the latest Instagram food trend might just be the exception. Sam, of the Instagram account So Beautifully Raw, has defied all expectations by creating breathtaking donut sushi. Even more shocking is the fact that the donut sushi is vegan—completing a trifecta of food trends that we never thought would appear together in a single dish.
More than simply combining unexpected culinary arts, however, Sam’s vegan donut sushi is also drop dead gorgeous. According to Bustle, each piece is carefully crafted using a mini donut mold before being painstakingly decorated by the Instagrammer herself. Apparently, Sam uses a combination of ginger, wasabi, avocado, and sesame seeds to adorn her aesthetically pleasing creations, leading us to believe that the donut sushi probably tastes as good as it looks!
Even more amazing than the sushi itself, however, might be the way in which Sam presents her creations. The painstaking artistry of every piece is worth drooling over in and of itself! When asked about the startling success of her sushi donuts, Sam responded by saying, “I definitely didn’t see it coming! It’s definitely exciting and I have had a lot of awesome opportunities arise from it. I plan on keeping my Instagram as authentic as possible. I always reiterate to my followers that just because I have a certain amount of people following me doesn’t make me superhuman, and I’m just a human with all the bells and whistles of life and a crazy passion for art and creating.”
After taking the time to gaze jealously at Sam’s donut sushi, we suggest that you try your hand at making your own version of the trendy food! All you need is sushi rice and a donut mold—the decorations and presentation are entirely up to you. If veganism isn’t your thing, you could even add some raw fish to your gorgeous creations—we promise we won’t tell Sam!Donut Sushi, instagram, Sam, So Beautifully Raw
Why Black Ice Cream Just Might Be The Trendiest Food Of Summer
By Cooking Panda
While black might not be the color you typically associate with summer, a New York City ice cream parlor is making a case for why it should be.
Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream—the masterminds behind such non-traditional flavors as “Banana Curry” and “Szechuan Peppercorn Chocolate”—recently announced the newest addition to its summer lineup, and this one just might be the strangest yet.
According to Founder Nick Morgenstern, the ice cream parlor has developed a new ice cream flavor called “Coconut Ash,” which combines coconut cream, coconut milk, and coconut flakes with the eponymous coconut ash for an unsurprisingly intense coconut experience.
What is surprising, however, is the ice cream’s color. Thanks to its flagship ingredient, which Morgenstern describes as “simply the charred and processed remains of a coconut shell,” Coconut Ash ice cream is black.
The flavor officially debuts today, May 25, at Morgenstern’s New York location. We suggest you head to the parlor for a taste of the unique creation—just don’t forget to bring your phone so you can grab the perfect Instagram before digging in!Black, ice cream, instagram, Morgenstern's, summer
Forget Kim Kardashian: Coffee In A Cone Is Now Breaking The Internet
By Cooking Panda
In the modern era, the “Instagram” worthiness of food is paramount.
That was the idea behind Dayne Levinrad’s invention of “Coffee in a Cone,” a product the South African barista developed specifically for its social media appeal. Today, Levinrad claims that his invention is the most Instagrammed coffee in the world—and he might be right.
There’s no denying that Levingrad’s creation is gorgeous. Artisanal coffee served in a chocolate-lined ice cream cone practically begs to be photographed—and that’s exactly what the majority of Levingrad’s customers do.
Coffee in a Cone isn’t just beautiful, however—it’s also a feat of careful culinary science achieved through painstaking trial and error. Levinrad combines four different types of chocolate in order to ensure the integrity of the cone after pouring hot coffee into it, making Coffee in a Cone not just visually gorgeous, but also structurally impressive. Even so, the drink still has to be consumed in ten minutes or less—otherwise the chocolate will start to melt and you’ll end up with one very messy handful.
Immediately after perfecting the science behind the drink, however, Levinrad also created a hashtag to go along with his invention. In the barista’s own words, “We used the cone as a way to become an Instagrammable product. When people come in they take a selfie and tag #coffeeinacone.”
Clearly, Levinrad’s strategy worked. Coffee in a Cone has been Instagrammed nearly 1 million times in the past five months alone, and based on the pictures we’ve seen, we can’t say we blame anyone! At this point, we’re just hoping Levinrad expands his business to the United States as soon as possible, so we can sample (and Instagram) Coffee in a Cone for ourselves.coffee, Coffee in a Cone, instagram, Kardashian, Levingrad
This Hilarious Sketch Is Every Instagram Foodie (Video)
By Cooking Panda
Are you one of those people who can’t take a bite of your food until after you get the perfect shot of it on your phone and post it on Instagram? Or maybe you are sick of waiting 10 minutes after your food arrives for your friend or significant other to get the perfect shot of their dinner, dessert, coffee, snack, you name it… If you can relate, you’ll love this video that brilliantly calls out Instagram foodies who just have to get the right picture every time before digging into their dinners.
At the beginning of the YouTube sketch, produced by AwesomenessTV, a man and woman sit in a hip coffee joint when somebody brings the man a cup of black coffee.
“That’s good,” he says, pulling out his phone. “That needs to go on the ‘gram for sure.”
But he just can’t quite get the perfect snap, so he has the woman move around and light the shot for him. He enlists a stranger in the coffee shop to help with the lighting, and before you know it, a whole film crew is in the restaurant, complete with an assistant director yelling out instructions.
Hundreds of shots and an exasperated dining partner later, he finally gets the perfect photo of his coffee.
I’m sure most of us can relate, whether we have been the offender or sat helplessly while our foodie friends compose the 100th perfect shot of their latte.
This widespread phenomenon has actually been stirring up a lot of attention lately – even mental health experts are scrutinizing our behavior. Some of them even say that food photography correlates with mental illness and can encourage unhealthy eating habits.
“The concern becomes when all they do is send pictures of food,” Dr. Valerie Taylor, chief of psychiatry at Women’s College Hospital at the University of Toronto, told the Huffington Post. “We take pictures of things that are important to us, and for some people, the food itself becomes central and the rest – the venue, the company, et cetera — is background.”
Frankly, we don’t really see a problem with that — food is super important to us too. Just don’t forget to take a step back and enjoy the good company you break bread with every now and again.comedy sketch, food photography, instagram, instagram food, instagram photo
Are These The Most Gorgeous Cookies Ever?
By Cooking Panda
Edible art? Count us in!
Holly Fox, a Los Angeles-based graphic designer has been turning heads recently with her gorgeous, innovative cookies. Each individual treat is meticulously designed, piped with royal icing, and beautifully photographed for her mesmerizing Instagram account.
When it comes to Fox’s unique brand of artwork, however, looking is not the best part. While Michelangelo’s sculptures might lend themselves to gallery viewing — and there is something reverent about experiencing the Mona Lisa at the Louvre — the graphic designer’s creations are best when eaten.
Luckily, thanks to Fox’s Etsy store, you can do just that! In her profile, the artist writes:
I’m a Pantone loving, lipstick wearing, jewel collecting gal that’s not afraid of a little leopard. I’ve never met a French fry I didn’t like, and I recommend a piece of candy a day to keep the doctor away (but definitely not the dentist, ha!). …
I started baking about 5 years ago on a whim, to try and see if I could figure out this whole royal icing thing. Since then, I have been mixing many, many colors and piping many, many jewels and I absolutely love it!
Check out all of Fox’s gorgeous creations on her Instagram page, and don’t forget to order yourself or your friends a batch as soon as possible. We think they would make a great baby shower, graduation, or birthday gift for anyone who appreciates beauty and food!cookies, Graphic design, Holly Fox, instagram, Sugar
Hot Dudes And Hummus Makes A Case For Peace In The Middle East
By Cooking Panda
There is no question that the rich, diverse culture of the Middle East is often forgotten amidst the region’s seemingly endless conflict and strife.
Fear not, though. Four college students with backgrounds as diverse as their mission are attempting to bring public focus back to Israeli culture “away from conflict.” American Orly Geduld, Canadian Ayala Lesser, Israeli Israel Zari, and Isreaeli-Romanian Betty Ilovici created the Instagram account, “Hot Dudes and Hummus” to celebrate what they consider to be two of the most beautiful facets of Israeli culture—attractive Israeli men and creamy, delicious hummus.
Based on the images we’ve included here, we can’t help but agree with them.
In keeping with their mission, the founders aim to post images that feature a diverse group of men—and hummus. In an interview, they stated, “we love any guy who loves digging into a delicious bowl of hummus, and there is something really great about a guy who appreciates culture.”
This message is especially meaningful considering the virtually universal popularity of hummus (and hot men). It’s hard to think about violence, hatred, or conflict while enjoying a delicious pita covered in creamy chickpea spread or watching an attractive male do the same.
We suggest that you grab yourself a bowl of hummus before clicking over to the original account in order to view even more photos of “Hot Dudes and Hummus.” Just don’t forget the message of the account while you’re gazing, starry-eyed, at the images. After all, much like the Israelis who love it, hummus is incredibly diverse, and in the words of the site’s founders, “can be used as a spread for pita, bread, eaten as a veggie dip, or eaten by the spoonfuls.”Hot Dudes and Hummus, Hummus, instagram, Israel, Middle East
