Häagen-Dazs’s rolls out their indulgent HEAVEN Line!

Time To Get Your Hands On Haagen-Dazs’ Boozy Ice Cream!

By Cooking Panda

Move over, wine ice cream, there’s a new, boozier kid on the block: Haagen-Dazs Canada’s Spirits line, a collection of five ice creams containing premium alcohol.

Decadent desserts meet premium spirits. NEW H‰agen-Dazs SPIRITS are in stores now.

In order of best to worst online reviews (though all have earned at least four out of five stars on the Haagen-Dazs product page), here are the indulgent flavors.

With a 5/5 rating is Rum Ginger Cookie, a rum-infused ginger ice cream flecked with pieces of ginger cookies. Fans say the ice cream is smooth and sweet with a genuine ginger flavor, while the cookies remain perfectly crunchy.

In a close second is Vodka Key Lime Pie, a key-lime ice cream infused with vodka and rippled with a graham-cracker swirl, and people are loving it. They say the ice cream has just the right tart and refreshing taste of key lime, and the crust is so sweet and crunchy that you’ll want to eat the whole tub at once.

The Irish Cream Coffee and Biscotti variety has a velvety Irish cream base, blissfully interrupted with biscotti bits and a coffee swirl. Proponents of this flavor can’t get enough of its rich and creamy coffee taste, cut with the crunchiness of biscotti.

Up next is Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, a mix of chocolate and white mousse ice creams infused with whiskey and speckled with truffle pieces. It’s as rich and deep in flavor as its intense chocolaty color would lead you to expect.

Finally, Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie combines a rum-infused vanilla ice cream with blondie chunks and caramel. Sweet rum and caramel interact with the gooey, chewy blondies for an insane melt-in-your-mouth experience.

Available at Canadian Walmart stores, these 1 percent alcohol ice creams may not get you tipsy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them paired with a glass of your favorite liquor — or, better yet, in a boozy milkshake. For a treat with more of a kick, simply blend your Spirits flavor of choice with a shot of its matching alcohol. I’m usually not inclined to drink whiskey shots, for example, but if you stirred it with a fat scoop of the Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, I could be persuaded.

While the Spirits line isn’t available in the U.S., its popularity indicates that it could very well make its way down south in the future. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.

Go Get Free Ice Cream From Haagen-Dazs!

By Cooking Panda

Haagen-Dazs Shops are giving out free ice cream cones on Tuesday, May 9, so head in and claim your tasty prize!

According to Brand Eating, this free cone giveaway is part of the annual Free Cone Day, and is available from 4 to 8 p.m. local time. Choose your fave ice cream flavor and enjoy today!

The Haagen-Dazs website reports that this promotion is about more than just ice cream. Free Cone Day is dedicated to creating a “buzz” about honey bees. Did you see that coming? Haagen-Dazs says “This May 9th, we won’t just be giving away free ice cream, we’ll be giving our flying friends some much needed recognition — and we’re inviting our fans to join us.”

Of course, the honey bees are needed to keep over one-third of the world’s crops growing, but they’re also necessary for one-third of the ice cream chain’s ice cream flavors. If you think they are special flavors probably only offered by Haagen-Dazs, you’re sadly mistaken. The affected flavors (that we wouldn’t have anymore without honey bees) include strawberry, rocky road, mango and vanilla. Imagine a world without vanilla ice cream! I don’t even want to.

Haagen-Dazs has donated over a million dollars in pollinator research and education, and has installed miles of homes for the little busybodies. It only makes sense to try and educate the ice cream audience of the effects of decreased honey bee populations, since we’re rather attached to many of the crops that will be affected. That’s why Haagen-Dazs wants us to know how we can also help.

Use Free Cone Day to not only enjoy your favorite ice cream flavor, but also to start a “buzz” about the importance of honey bees. Plant some wildflowers and other native plants to attract these pollinators, and protect their homes. They typically live in places like messy garden areas, tree stumps and open sandy areas.

Protect the bees and enjoy a strawberry or rocky road ice cream this May to show your appreciation for the honey bees!

Haagen-Dazs New Ice Cream Flavors Are On The Way!

By Cooking Panda

New year, same iconic ice cream brand, but all new flavors!

In honor of 2017 — and perhaps Valentine’s Day? — the popular ice-cream brand Haagen-Dazs has just released four new flavors of ice cream, and they sound absolutely luxurious.

The new flavors come in 14-ounce cartons, and are also accompanied by the release of three new ice cream bar varieties, because the ice-cream Powers That Be clearly can see that we’re all in need of a freaking sweet treat right now.

First up is Peanut Butter Salted Fudge, which, according to Brand Eating, is a salted fudge and chocolate-covered peanut concoction all mixed in to a creamy and smooth peanut butter ice cream.

Yes, please!

Next comes the Toasted Coconut Caramel, which is a coconut ice cream chock full of dulce de leche caramel and delightful bits of toasted coconut.

Third up is the Bourbon Praline Pecan. This flavor actually was already available once as a limited edition special, but was obviously a big enough hit that the company decided to bring it back in a major way. It features bourbon ice cream (we’re drooling) loaded with brown sugar bourbon swirls and praline pecans.

Finally, we have the Espresso Chocolate Cookie Crumble for those who enjoy a little kick with their dessert. The coffee ice cream pint has chocolate espresso flakes and cookie crumbles mixed into its base.

Also, you can look out for the White Chocolate Raspberry, Vanilla Dark Chocolate Cookie and Coconut Dark Chocolate Caramel ice cream bar flavors, which are also currently being rolled out with the ice cream pints, and are all slated to be widely available by spring 2017.

What do you think of all of the new options Haagen-Dazs is rolling out? Are you excited and getting totally amped up for warm weather now? We know we are!

Haagen-Dazs’ New Trio Collection Looks Decadent

By Cooking Panda

Today is a good day, people.

In the midst of all the new developments happening in our country right now — some good, some bad and almost all controversial — a beacon of light shines down upon the U.S. in the form of Haagen-Dazs’ new line of ice creams called the “Trio Collection.”

Essentially, the new ice creams appear to come in four flavors, according to Brand Eating, which are Coffee Vanilla Chocolate, Triple Chocolate, Salted Caramel Chocolate and Vanilla Blackberry Chocolate.

“Layer upon layer of crisp, crunch, smooth, creamy, aah,” reads the Haagen-Dazs Facebook page. “Introducing our new TRIO collection, hitting shelves soon.”

According to Brand Eating, the Coffee Vanilla Chocolate features coffee ice cream, vanilla ice cream and layers of crispy Belgian chocolate (which sounds absolutely delicious).

The Triple Chocolate will have white chocolate ice cream (which sounds luxurious), milk chocolate ice cream and layers of crispy Belgian chocolate (we’re spotting a trend here).

The Salted Caramel Chocolate will have layers of crispy Belgian chocolate, salted caramel ice cream and chocolate ice cream.

Finally, the Vanilla Blackberry Chocolate will feature vanilla ice cream, blackberry ice cream and layers of crispy Belgian chocolate.

Which flavor are you most excited to try?

By Cooking Panda

It’s the day all you sweet-toothed fans have been waiting for: Haagen-Dazs is running its annual Free Cone Day this Tuesday, May 10.

From 4 to 8 p.m., customers can go to any participating shop (find one near you here) and receive a complimentary kiddie scoop of either ice cream, sorbet or gelato in a cup, sugar cone or cake cone.

“We look forward to Free Cone Day all year,” Adam Hanson, the Haagen-Dazs Shoppe Company President and General Manager, told Eat Drink Deals. “Not only is it a fun day where we are able to give back to our guests who support us year-round, it also means summer is right around the corner.

“Last year, we served 315,000 scoops on Free Cone Day, and this year, we are excited to help even more people leave the dreary days of winter behind and take a moment to enjoy Haagen-Dazs’ simple and pure ingredients.”

As if that weren’t enough, DCist reports that Haagen-Dazs will also be hosting a virtual ice cream social at 1 p.m. EDT on Twitter. Fans are invited to share their “favorite ice cream moments” using the hashtag #HDfreeconeday for a chance to win an assortment of different gift cards (to either American Express or Haagen-Dazs shops) or a year of free ice cream.

Good luck!
