It’s True! You Can Get Free Macchiatos From Starbucks!
By Cooking Panda
Starbucks is giving out free macchiatos from August 3-7, and life is good!
If you’re looking to cool off with a friend during the afternoon, you can’t do a whole lot better than this deal.
Here’s how it works: According to Starbucks’ official website, they are offering a BOGO deal for any macchiato of equal or lesser value, be it hot, iced, sweet or plain, at participating locations. Incidentally, you can also pick up either of their new Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato or the Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato drinks.
“The original inspiration for the [Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato] beverage is from horchata, a popular beverage in Spain and Latin America,” Yoke Wong from Starbucks Beverage Development team said. “It is traditionally made with almond or rice milk and spices like cinnamon, and it is served hot or cold.”
The coconut mocha version is a dairy-free spin on the classic sweet macchiatos like the caramel iced one. Then again, you can’t go wrong with the classic menu fixtures either — and you can get either kind with this promotion.
The “Meet for Macchiatos” event, which you might have spotted on Facebook, is only good between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., but hey, you still get a pretty sweet deal here.
What’s the occasion, you ask? The promo is a multi-day celebration of International Friendship Day on August 6, which was created to “contribute to the fundamental shifts that are urgently needed to achieve lasting stability, weave a safety net that will protect us all, and generate passion for a better world where all are united for the greater good,” according to the U.N.

“Our world faces many challenges, crises and forces of division — such as poverty, violence, and human rights abuses — among many others — that undermine peace, security, development and social harmony among the world’s peoples,” continues the U.N.’s entry on the holiday. “To confront those crises and challenges, their root causes must be addressed by promoting and defending a shared spirit of human solidarity that takes many forms — the simplest of which is friendship.”
Starbucks Debuts New Iced Teas, Get Them For Free! (Photo)

Iced tea lovers, Starbucks has a special treat just for you!
On July 11, the worldwide coffee chain debuted three new fruity spins on iced tea, and the best part is they are here to stay for good, so you won’t need to mourn when your favorite limited-time drink special disappears. (Rest in peace, Caramelized Honey Latte.) Oh, and you can get them for free for exactly one hour!
According to PopSugar, you can now cool off with Teavana Shaken Iced Tea Infusions, which come in three new flavors: pineapple black tea, peach white tea and strawberry green tea. The drinks are made up of Teavana teas combined with steeped fruit and botanical mixes and usually get shaken with simple syrup, although you can request them unsweetened or even mixed with lemonade or anything else you prefer.
The drinks start at $3 for a Tall, and you can even get a free one on July 14 between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., so mark your calendars.
Are they worth it? How do they taste?
The folks over at PopSugar sampled the new brews and had generally positive feedback.
“The Teavana Shaken Iced Peach Citrus Tea Infusion is light and fruity and perfect to sip on all day,” they wrote. “The peach flavor is subtle but present and is only enhanced when the tea is lightly sweetened, which is how it’s typically served.”
The Teavana Shaken Iced Pineapple Black Tea Infusion, however, is much stronger and “bolder” than the peach, they said, and the pineapple tastes “authentic” and not like that fake stuff, suggesting that they probably brewed it with real pineapple.
“The Teavana Shaken Iced Strawberry Green Tea Infusion has a surprising flavor because of the green tea, which has hints of mint,” added the reviewers. “The mint combined with the sweet, tart strawberry is the bold kick in the pants you might need on a day when you’re hot and dragging.”
The teas are part of a larger menu expansion that ‘Bux rolled out on the same day, including the Iced Cascara Coconutmilk Latte and the Iced Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato, notes Refinery29.Free Starbucks, iced tea, new flavor, Starbucks, Starbucks new drink
You Can Now Win Free Starbucks For Life!
By Cooking Panda
It might just be the right time to take that Starbucks addiction of yours to the next level.
If you still regularly gripe about the coffee chain’s new rewards program, now might finally be the right time to change all of that for good. If you’re one of seven lucky people in the U.S. and Canada, you might just win free Starbucks for life.
Starting August 2, anyone who uses the Starbucks Rewards program (and you really should use it if you’re a semi-regular Starbucks customer, as it costs you nothing but earns you the occasional free drink) will score one free game piece when they purchase anything at a store using their Starbucks registered card or mobile app. You can enter twice per day, and if either of those purchases are for more than $10, you’ll get an extra game piece. This is what the board looks like:
Here are all the prizes you can win:
- Five U.S. customers and two Canadian ones will luck out with Starbucks for Life, the grand prize.
- 25 U.S. customers and five Canadian ones will win Starbucks for a Year.
- 125 lucky ducks in the U.S. and 25 in Canada get Starbucks for a Week.
- You can also win instant Bonus Stars — depending on your prize, you might get 125, 25, 10 or five Stars added to your account. Gold Members get a free food or drink item after every 125 stars that they earn.
We don’t mean to crush your dreams — free Starbucks is free Starbucks — but, according to Delish, “for life” in Starbucks-speak means only 30 years. Apparently they are expecting the winners to overdo it on their daily Trenta Frappuccino? We have no idea what the logic is here.
Also, you can only get one free drink or food item each day, so if you’re one of the lucky ones, make sure you choose wisely!coffee deals, free food, Free Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks for Life
