Krispy Kreme Jumps On The Pumpkin Spice Train
By Cooking Panda
For one full day, at least.
Brand Eating reports that Krispy Kreme plans to change its original glazed doughnut into a pumpkin spice version for one day only on Oct. 26. This will be in celebration of National Pumpkin Spice day, and the new Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed donut will be available at participating locations in the United States and Canada.
If you can’t make it to a Krispy Kreme location on that particular day, you can always try their seasonal pumpkin spice cake donut instead. Brand Eating did a taste test of this doughnut flavor, which they described it as soft, moist, sweet and yummy. Although they claimed that it was lacking in the taste of pumpkin, it did have plenty of spice.
If you’ve really got a serious case of the pumpkin spice fever this year, you can always try to make it to Krispy Kreme in time to try both the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut and the pumpkin spice cake doughnut and compare them.
Maybe the pumpkin spice cake doughnut is supposed to be less pumpkin-y and more cake-ish? And maybe the new Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut will have more of that pumpkin kick you might be expecting. Either way, I’m sure they’re both delicious. Who can go wrong with a doughnut? Certainly not Krispy Kreme.
Want even more pumpkin spice? Wash down your pumpkin-flavored doughnuts with Krispy Kreme’s seasonal pumpkin spice latte while you’re at it. According to the doughnut gurus themselves, it’s available this year hot, iced or frozen.
“Our fans crave these seasonally inspired treats, and the pairing of a Pumpkin Spice Latte and one of our doughnuts makes for the perfect comfort food as the weather starts to cool down,” says Jackie Woodward, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
See? Even they recommend it as a perfect pairing.
If, by some chance, your tastes don’t fall so much into the pumpkin realm, Krispy Kreme also offers a seasonal salted caramel latte donut, which also delivers a taste of fall. Check it all out at your nearest location before the season’s over!Fall Flavors, krispy kreme, pumpkin spice
Twinkies Has A New Flavor And Here’s Where To Get It
By Cooking Panda
It appears Hostess has now jumped aboard the pumpkin spice train, and we are thrilled about it!
According to Delish, this new pumpkin spice flavor is a bit different from the twinkies that debuted in 2015. This new flavor is pumpkin spice cheesecake. Just when I thought pumpkin spice couldn’t be made any better…
It features a sponge cake with cinnamon in the cheesecake-like cream filling, and then the whole twinkie itself is dipped in white fudge. Wouldn’t want to get it mixed up with the regular pumpkin spice kind!
As with all new foods, the new Twinkie flavor is receiving mixed reviews from social media users.

Chew Boom reports that this year’s fall lineup from Hostess includes Caramel Crunch Donettes and Caramel Apple CupCakes as well. Additionally, Hostess is reported to be bringing back some of its old classics, including GloBalls, ScaryCakes and Chocolate S’cream Twinkies.
It’s all seasonal of course, and limited edition, so don’t look forward to enjoying these items year-round. Unless you plan to stock up, of course.
You can find these new Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Twinkies, and the others at Kroger in 9-packs for $2.99.Fall Flavors, Hostess, pumpkin spice, Twinkies
This New Peeps Flavor Is The Perfect Excuse To Eat Candy For Breakfast (Video)
By Cooking Panda
Peeps are usually an Easter/spring treat. That’s when we celebrate cute little chicks and bunnies. But this year, they’re becoming a fall treat as well.
I’m always excited for a new reason to enjoy sweets, and Peeps, it seems, are truly delivering this year. The new flavor, which Delish reports will be rolling out Nov. 1, is cinnamon roll (video below). Peeps told only Delish about this new flavor, and it’s going to be available exclusively at Walgreens initially. So it’s not widely known news just yet.
As far as I’m concerned, that’s all the better. Now I don’t have to worry about missing my opportunity to try them due to them being sold out!
According to Delish, Peeps revealed that the new flavor will sport marshmallows “dipped in cinnamon-flecked fudge that’s slightly tangy, like cream cheese frosting, adding a little crunch to the pillowy treat.”
Remember last year when Peeps came out with a pumpkin spice flavor that was available exclusively at Target? Well, Bustle reports that you can order those online right now if that’s what you’d like. At least it can hold you over in the meantime while you wait for the new cinnamon flavor to become available at Walgreens.
Once they’re here, I wouldn’t hesitate to go and try them. Although an end date hasn’t been mentioned, we all know that seasonal means just that. They won’t be around forever. And just in case you need any extra motivation to try them, let’s go over all the fun and innovative ways they could be enjoyed, shall we?
For example, Delish likes to tout the Peeps Skillet S’mores dessert, where baked peeps are served over chocolate and heavy whipping cream. Yum! Then there are Peeps stuffed chocolate chip cookies and Peeps popcorn…you get the idea. Some people even like to infuse their Peeps with vodka for a pastel-colored marshmallow flavored shot. Not that I’m recommending it or anything, but I think you could come up with some pretty unusual fall themed shots using Peeps if you really wanted to.
