Nicole Kidman And Ellen Fail Hilariously At Cooking (Video)

By Cooking Panda

Sometimes it seems like celebrities just know how to do everything, and that they know how to do it better than us (video below).

Prepare for that false illusion to be hilariously shattered.

When celebrity chef and Food Network Star Giada De Laurentiis appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” it was with the intention to teach Nicole Kidman and host Ellen DeGeneres how to prepare a delicious vegan artichoke arancini, along with focaccia with clementine and fennel.

However, the task proved near impossible, as Kidman and DeGeneres simply could not stop laughing as De Laurentiis tried her darnedest to show them the culinary ropes.

While the entire clip is worth watching (their antics will definitely get at least a laugh or two out of you), the best part comes at the end when it’s time to conduct the taste test.

Kidman and DeGeneres are not kind, but they are silly!

Essentially, the two women do not hold back on giving their opinions about the cold food that they assume has been left out for a handful of hours.

But don’t despair, Giada De Laurentiis fans. The highly acclaimed Italian chef mentioned on air to Ellen that she will be opening up a new restaurant in Las Vegas at the well-known Caesars Palace, just like Gordon Ramsay is slated to do.

Also, she might have her sights set on launching a new restaurant somewhere on the East Coast!

Watching This Chef Make Pasta On Instagram Is Incredibly Soothing

By Cooking Panda

Homemade pasta is one of those things that sounds good in theory, but is infinitely more complicated and messy in real life.

For everyone who has ever tried (and failed) to make homemade pasta, however, we have found your new favorite Instagram account. The amazing social media page belongs to Miyuki Adachi, a Toronto-based pasta chef, and displays the incredibly talented culinary master rolling and forming her own pasta.

Adachi isn’t just making spaghetti and penne, though—she crafts artisanal shapes that look more like small pieces of art than edible creations. The chef uses everything from cheese graters to tweezers to form her masterpieces, and even goes so far as to create her own pattern boards in order to stamp the pasta with the most intricate designs possible.

Below, we’ve included some of her most awe-inspiring creations. Fair warning, however—we suggest that you don’t watch the videos on an empty stomach. The pasta envy is far too real.

400 Italian Chefs Gather In Naples To Break Pizza World Record

By Cooking Panda

With the summer Olympics fast approaching, world records seem to be on everyone’s minds. While running and swimming are great, however, we have our eyes set on a different type of world record—and this time Italy is the clear champion.

More than 400 Italian chefs recently gathered in Naples to break the world record for longest pizza, and the results were just as glorious as you might imagine. All in all, the chefs used 4,409 pounds of flour, 3,527 pounds of tomatoes, 4,409 pounds of mozzarella, and 441 lbs of water to craft their mouthwatering masterpiece.

The result? 6,080 feet of pizza perfection.

While the chefs clearly had quantity accounted for, you’ll be glad to hear that quality did not fall by the wayside when breaking this most delicious of world records. Sources report that only the finest ingredients were used in every step of the cooking process, and the pizza was even baked in a wood-fired oven. That’s right. All 6080 feet of it was more gourmet than the single-serving pies we regularly demolish!

Personally, we’re thinking that a move to Italy might be in order. If they can make over a mile of gourmet pizza along the beautiful Neapolitan waterfront, what can’t they do? Take a moment to imagine a world full of wood-fired pizza, bread, and pasta before giving these glorious photos one last glance and heading back to work.
