Fried Peanut Butter Crescent Rolls Will Make You Rethink Breakfast Forever!

By Cooking Panda

Everyone loves a good crescent roll — flakey, buttery, and delicious. What could possibly make it better? Peanut butter, that’s what.

These fried peanut butter crescent rolls are bound to become your new favorite breakfast, and they’re so sweet you can even have them for dessert!

All you need is Pillsbury Crescent Rounds or crescent dough, 15 tablespoons of peanut butter (frozen) and powdered sugar for garnishing.

When you’ve gone through all the steps to prepare the peanut butter rounds for frying, just drop them into some oil until they’re golden brown and dust them with the powdered sugar.

Then enjoy as the peanut butter oozes out of the middle, and savor this decadent treat for as long as you can before they’re all gone.

One container of Pillsbury Crescent Rounds . . . OR one container of the Crescent Dough Sheet.

Approximately 15 tablespoons of peanut butter . . . frozen.

Powdered sugar for dusting.

You must start this process a few hours before you plan on making these so the PB can freeze!

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place individual rounded tablespoons of peanut butter onto it. Place it into the freezer and leave it there until the PB is frozen.

When you’re ready, roll out the dough and cut out as many 2-inch circles as you can get out of it! I got 15-ish!

When it’s time to assemble the balls, take the frozen PB balls out of the freezer, but leave them there until you’re totally ready to work with them!

Now, gently place one frozen PB ball into the center of a dough circle and . . .

Place the wrapped PB balls back onto the baking sheet and put them back into the freezer until your oil is ready (350°F).

Place one or two frozen and wrapped PB balls gently into the oil and fry them until they’re golden on both sides.

Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.

You Won’t Believe What’s In This Chocolate Covered Oreo Cake!

By Cooking Panda

How does a giant Oreo cake covered in chocolate ganache sound? Pretty amazing, right? Well, here’s your chance to bring this dream dessert to life.

All it takes is a two layer devil’s food cake, prepared as instructed, plus some Oreo cookies to be dispersed throughout the recipe. For the delicious Oreo filling, just get some Cool Whip, cream cheese, sugar, and cookies.

The ganache is done with semi-sweet chocolate chips, butter and heavy cream. It’s poured over top of the final product, after the Oreo filling has been sandwiched between the two cakes.

What you’ll have in the end is a cake like you’ve never tasted before. So sweet and chocolatey, you’ll never want to eat Oreos on their own again.

1 (16.25 to 18 oz.) package devil’s food chocolate cake mix + ingredients to prepare cake

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened

1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip non-dairy whipped topping

12 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed

1/2 c. granulated sugar

3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 T. unsalted butter

1 T. heavy cream

BAKE CAKE: Prepare and bake cake as directed on package, preparing in two 9-inch round cake pans. Cool cakes in pan for 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely on a wire rack.

PREPARE FILLING: Beat cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in Cool Whip and then crushed Oreos.

Place one cake layer on a cake plate; spread with cream cheese mixture {it will be a thick layer}. Top with remaining cake layer.

PREPARE CHOCOLATE GLAZE: Place chocolate chips, butter, and heavy cream in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring very frequently, until melted and blended together. Remove from heat and cool in pan for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spoon chocolate glaze onto the center of the top of the cake; gently spread toward the edge of the cake {a little at a time}, just barely getting it to the edge of the cake ~  it will start to spill over the edge on its own and gravity will do the work of creating ‘spills’ over the edge of the cake. Store cake in the refrigerator.

Once you prepare a pizza dough, all you need to do is slather it in Thousand Island dressing, then add some swiss cheese slices.

Top the cheese with sauerkraut, and make sure it’s drained. Then, chop some pastrami and layer it on top of the kraut. Corned beef is just as good if pastrami isn’t your cup of tea.

Finally, sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top to truly make it a pizza, then bake and enjoy! This is sure to become your new favorite pizza, and it’s so easy to make.

Pizza dough (homemade or store-bought dough ball; click here to read more about pizza dough)

6 slices Swiss cheese

About 2 c. sauerkraut, well-drained

1/2 lb. deli pastrami or corned beef, roughly chopped

2 tsp. caraway seeds (optional)

Shredded mozzarella

Roll pizza dough out to desired size; place on preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread a layer of Thousand Island dressing over the crust for sauce. Lay Swiss cheese slices over dressing, then top evenly with sauerkraut and pastrami.

Sprinkle with caraway seeds (optional).  Top with shredded mozzarella.  Bake at 425 degrees for about 20-25 minutes, or until crust is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and beginning to get golden brown.

Nutella French Toast That’s Too Sweet To Pass Up!

By Cooking Panda

French toast is a breakfast favorite, and Nutella is a chocolatey spread beloved by millions. Putting them together? A match made in heaven.

All you need to do is make traditional french toast, and then slather the pieces in Nutella. Next, put the pieces together into a stack — not unlike a layer cake.

To make it even better, lather the decadent french toast in maple syrup and enjoy with strawberries and bananas. You’ll never want to do breakfast any other way!

4 (1/2″-thick) slices French bread

2 eggs, beaten

1/4 c. milk

1 T. butter, to coat pan

Nutella (about 1/4 c.)

Maple syrup (preferably pure Vermont maple syrup!)

1 banana, sliced

4 strawberries, sliced

Combine beaten eggs and milk in a wide shallow dish.  Dip a bread slice in the egg mixture; turn and dip the other side, coating well.  Repeat with remaining bread slices.

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.  Add butter to the pan, and coat the skillet surface with the melted butter.  Place coated bread slices in the pan and cook each side until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side.

Remove bread slices from the pan and place on a plate.  Spread two of the slices generously with Nutella; place the remaining two slices on top to form sandwiches.  Top with maple syrup, sliced bananas, and sliced strawberries.

These Pizza Quesadillas Are A Brilliantly Delicious Combo

By Cooking Panda

The combination of pizza and quesadillas is both brilliant and absolutely delicious. This recipe is so simple and tasty, you’ll want to make it every day.

The basic concept for this amazing fusion dish is to make a quesadilla and stuff it with pizza ingredients like cheese, sauce, pepperoni or whatever you desire.

You then have the option to top the quesadilla with more pizza ingredients and then bake it to melt the cheese.

If you’d rather not go that far, just make it like a traditional quesadilla and enjoy an Italian take on a Mexican classic.

2 (10 inch) tortilla

1 cup mozzarella, shredded

3 tablespoons pizza sauce

16 slices pepperoni

1 tablespoon sliced black olives

3 tablespoons pizza sauce

1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded

3 slices pepperoni

1 tablespoon sliced black olives

Heat a large pan over medium heat.

Place one tortilla in the pan, sprinkle half of the cheese over it, followed by the pizza sauce, pepperoni, olives, the remaining cheese and finally the remaining tortilla.

Cook until the quesadilla is golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 2-4 minutes per side.

Spread the pizza sauce over the top of the quesadilla followed by the mozzarella, pepperoni and olives.

Bake in a preheated 400F/200C oven until the cheese has melted, about 5-10 minutes.

Pecan Pie Just Got A Cookie Makeover!

By Cooking Panda

Pecan pie is a classic dessert loved the world over, and it just got better.

The delicious Southern delicacy is not always easy to make, but turning them into a tasty cookie is remarkably simple. All you need for the pecan filling is brown sugar, salt, vanilla and cream. For the cookie? Just a few essential cookie ingredients will do.

All you need to do is shape the dough and make an indentation in each cookie, then fill the well of each one with the pecan filling.

Bake and enjoy!

2 cups (10 ounces) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Kosher salt

1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) firmly packed dark brown sugar, divided

12 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 cup finely chopped pecans

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two half-sheet pans with parchment paper.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and 1 teaspoon salt. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together 1 cup brown sugar with the butter on medium-high, until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then add the egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla, and beat until smooth. Add the dry ingredients in three additions, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula between additions. Mix together until just combined.

Shape dough into roughly 1 1/4-inch balls using a #50 disher. Place 2 inches apart onto the parchment-lined pans. Make an indentation in each cookie with your thumb, rotating your thumb to hollow it out into a round well.

Whisk together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and cream in a small mixing bowl until smooth. Fold in the pecans. Fill the well of each cookie with a scant teaspoon of the pecan filling. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Cool for 2-3 minutes, then carefully transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
