7 Places To Celebrate National Pizza Day (Photos)
By Cooking Panda
From the infectious beats of singer-songwriter Miguel and American rapper Travis Scott comes the song “Sky Walker,” which has been described as the quintessential “celebratory song.” One verse in Miguel’s synth-driven melody truly captures the sentiment of National Pizza Day — as well as a good philosophy to live by: “Celebrate every day like a birthday.”
To assist in your celebration, here is a lineup of seven incredible pizza slice deals happening on February 9, National Pizza Day!
Baskin-Robbins, “Sweetheart Polar Pizza”
This one’s a departure from the usual cheese slice, but true to the birthday theme, Baskin-Robbins’ “Sweetheart Polar Pizza” is both a cake and a pizza. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at participating locations, you can get a free sample of this double-fudge crusted pizza pie, topped lavishly with Love Potion #31 Ice Cream, marshmallows, and festive heart sprinkles.
California Pizza Kitchen, “Cauliflower Pizza”
If balance is your friend, then cauliflower pizza is your soulmate. California Pizza Kitchen’s veggie-based crust is officially available at all locations, and for National Pizza Day, the restaurant will be substituting its classic thin crust for cauliflower crust — for free!
Chuck E. Cheese, “Thin & Crispy Pepperoni Pizza”
Chuck E. Cheese isn’t just for strung-out kids laboring over candy and pinball machines. It’s also a place where adults can become one with their youthful spirit. So, it’s totally within reason to cash in on a few rounds of Skee-Ball between slices of pizza. Luckily, Chuck E. Cheese is offering a BOGO deal you’d be sorry (and hungry) not to take advantage of. A large Thin & Crispy Pepperoni Pizza is yours free when you buy any large pizza when you use the code 5555.
Papa John’s, “Dual-Layer Pepperoni Pizza”
Are you more meat than cheese? If so, Papa John’s is looking at you. For a limited time, the pizza delivery company is offering $10 Dual-Layer Pepperoni Pizza — a meat-heavy pie with regular pepperoni and larger deli-style pepperoni.
Pizza Hut, “Two-Topping Pizza Special”
When you sign up for Hut Rewards, you’ll get a cool 30 percent off on all its pizzas for this pizza holiday only, so it behooves you to act fast. On top of this tasty deal is a $5.99 medium two-topping pizza special when you buy two or more pies, which is easy considering how fast those slices go.
Round Table Pizza, “Personal Pizza”
This popular West Coast pizza chain is giving away a handsome deal. Customers who purchase a Pepsi fountain drink between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. will receive one free personal pizza with your choice of cheese or pepperoni. Swing by after work and make it a pizza dinner!
Whole Foods, “Take-and-Bake Pizzas”
For a quick and healthy dose of pizza on this wonderful national holiday, stop by Whole Foods for a take-and-bake pizza in tasty varieties like goat cheese and pesto, and spinach and mushroom for just $9.99.
Now, it’s time to chow down and eat like it’s your birthday!Baskin Robbins, California Pizza Kitchen, chuck e cheese, National Pizza Day, Papa John's, pizza hut, Round Table Pizza, whole foods
We Need Baskin-Robbins New Milkshake Sundae
By Cooking Panda
It’s officially summer, friends, and what’s summer without a nice, thick milkshake or two? Or, even better, thirty-one milkshakes.
The land of “31 Flavors” (i.e., Baskin-Robbins) has created a frozen treat that will seriously satisfy your summer cravings.
The ice cream company has been shaking things up by testing its new Sundae Shakes at locations in Detroit and New Orleans this summer.
What is the Sundae Shake? It’s basically a milkshake in a tall parfait cup topped with an ice cream sundae, according to Brand Eating.
Just like it sounds, it’s essentially a hybrid between a regular milkshake and an ice cream sundae. Think of it as the ultimate cure to your ice cream indecision.
You know, for those days where you just can’t make up your mind. If you want all the ice cream and believe that you deserve all the ice cream, then this is the indulgent summer treat of your ice cream dreams.
Here’s how it works:
You get a shake of your flavor of choice, which is then topped off with your choice of ice cream and one sundae topping (e.g., chocolate syrup) along with a dollop of whipped cream, nuts and a maraschino cherry.
In Detroit, the Sundae Shake goes for $2.39, though prices may vary in other locations.
According to Brand Eating, the mash-up dessert was being tested in the Nashville, Tennessee, area in May 2016. Now it has been spotted in Michigan and Louisiana.
Who knows where it will pop-up next? Hopefully, somewhere close to us.
If you can’t get your hands on this baby, you could try making a similar version at home. It’s as simple as blending up some ice cream, adding a solid scoop and topping it to your heart’s delight.
Cheap, easy, and you can really go wild on the toppings.

Baskin-Robbins’ Holiday Flavors Look Delicious
By Cooking Panda
Holiday flavors are back at Baskin-Robbins and we love what we’re seeing.
Let’s talk first about December’s Flavor of the Month: Peppermint Bark in the Dark. According to Brand Eating, this ice cream flavor features chocolate ice cream with a chocolate-flavored peppermint ribbon, peppermint candy pieces and peppermint bark. Chocolate and peppermint are almost as festive as eggnog, so this is the perfect flavor for winter.
According to Baskin-Robbins, you can order the ice cream by the scoop in a cup or cone, but you can also get more creative with your order by getting the flavor in a Warm Brownie Sundae, Warm Cookie Sundae, or as a milkshake or cappuccino flavor!
The next two items on the menu are a Ganache Poinsettia Cake and Peppermint & Winter Oreo Cookies Polar Pizza. The cake is decorated with an icing poinsettia and Winter Oreo cookie crumbles. Check it out; it’s almost too pretty to eat!
Winter Oreos are popular with Baskin-Robbins this year. We have a second seasonal dessert that features them. The Winter Oreo Cookies Polar Pizza starts with a double-fudge brownie crust, and is topped with peppermint ice cream, Winter Oreo pieces, and chocolate and marshmallow fudge toppings.
The Ganache Poinsettia Cake and Peppermint & Winter Oreo Cookies Polar Pizza are brand new additions to the Baskin-Robbins seasonal menu. This is their debut! “We’re excited to introduce [these] two new additions to our holiday lineup this year …,” said Jeff Miller, executive chef and vice president of product innovation for Dunkin’ Brands. “The holiday season is all about creating special moments with family and friends, and we’re happy to provide guests with ice cream treats that celebrate classic seasonal flavors, like peppermint, that they can enjoy during this festive time of the year.”
If peppermint is not your thing, but you want to be festive too, try the Winter White Chocolate or Egg Nog ice cream flavors instead. Baskin-Robbins is also sponsoring a “Celebrate 31” promotion on Dec. 31 — all regular and kids’ ice cream scoops will be $1.31, any flavor!Baskin Robbins, ice cream, peppermint, seasonal
Baskin-Robbins’ New Cone Dippers Look Delicious
By Cooking Panda
Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest ice cream shop chain, is testing a fun new idea in San Diego.
According to Brand Eating, the ice cream giant wants to make sure we get toppings in every bite by providing the toppings we order in a cup alongside our ice cream cones. We can then just dip the ice cream into the cup and get as much, or as little, as we want in each bite.
Possible topping choices include M&M minis, crushed Oreo cookies, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles, chopped almonds and Nerds. The cup of toppings is an additional $1.49, but if you’re a stickler for making sure you have toppings in every bite, the dollar and a half is so worth it.
They’re called Cone Dippers, and they’re currently available only in San Diego, California. But if all testing goes well, I’m guessing we will get the opportunity to see them in other cities in the future. There hasn’t been any talk yet of expanding this offer to other cities, but that’s probably just because it’s too soon to tell how customers will respond.
Meanwhile, if you happen to be in the San Diego area, make sure to stop by Baskin-Robbins for a chance to make up your own mind about this Cone Dipper offer. Those of us who can’t try it will just have to buy our own bag of toppings and pretend.

Baskin Robbins’ Halloween Flavors Sound Amazing!
By Cooking Panda
Baskin Robbins is bringing back the classic seasonal favorite, Trick Oreo Treat this year as the October flavor of the month, but we also get to try a new, darker version this time.
October 2016 will be the month of Baskin Robbins’ Trick Oreo Treat Dark ice cream. Brand Eating reports that this flavor features chocolate ice cream with orange cream-filled Oreos, Baby Ruth and Butterfinger pieces, and a dark fudge ribbon. Basically, this “dark” version is a twist on their regular seasonal favorite, where they are substituting chocolate ice cream for vanilla and adding a ribbon of fudge. Let’s face it, anything’s better if you add chocolate to it.
Try ordering it in a doughnut sandwich to really do it right.
In a press release, Baskin Robbins says they’re constantly looking for ways to surprise guests, and therefore they’re also very excited to be introducing another delicious treat for 2016: the Pinata Pumpkin Patch cake.
Another spin on a classic, the original cake has now been filled with a candy center to better capture the spirit of Halloween. If you aren’t familiar with it in its original form, it is an ice cream cake painted like a jack-o-lantern, and the actual type of ice cream used for the ice cream cake is customizable, so choose the flavor you like best and let your guests be surprised when they cut into it and candy cascades out!
These fun new Halloween flavors are available only during October, so make sure and try them before time is up.
On Oct. 31, Baskin Robbins will be celebrating its 70th birthday with a special promotion of one scoop of any ice cream for only $1.31, so if you lose track of time and wait until the last minute to try the new flavor, this would be a good time to do it!Baskin Robbins, Halloween, ice cream

In case you don’t remember Polar Pizzas (or weren’t alive in the ‘90s), Polar Pizzas are basically giant cookies filled with ice cream and a myriad of delicious toppings. While chokers and Dr. Martens may be acquired tastes, everyone loves cookies, ice cream, and candy!

Baskin Robbins’ New Sour Patch Kids Ice Cream Looks Amazing
By Cooking Panda
If you’re a sour food fan, we have some great news for you: your favorite candy is now in ice cream form. This is not a drill.
There is a good reason why Sour Patch Kids are so popular. The sweet, chewy, tangy candies complete with a puckery, sugary crunch are delicious and completely addicting.
That’s why Baskin Robbins had the genius idea to take Sour Patch Kids and swirl them into ice cream.
Look at how delicious this is.
The famous ice cream chain mixed Redberry flavored Sour Patch candies with raspberry and marshmallow ice cream, all swirled into one good-looking scoop. The best part? You can totally top your Sunday with a sprinkle of actual Sour Patch Kid candies.
It doesn’t get much better than this.
A scoop of the glorious ice cream is a lot sweeter than you might expect from a sour candy. The base is creamy and mild, but every so often you get a welcome sour crunch where the candy is swirled through.
But there’s a catch: the exciting new flavor is only available through the month of April, so act fast.
If you still have a hankering for the iconic sour, sugary candies, you can get your fix in almost any form these days, including chewing gum and popsicles. The sky’s the limit, people.
