The nutritional information gives the calorie value at 351.5. Instead of using beef we also recommend you use either ground chicken or turkey. Our only concern is its compactness. Beef compacts better than other types of meats. The ingredients for preparing the Polynesian Meatballs are lean ground beef, finely diced onion, panko crumbs, milk, egg (beaten), salt, black pepper, ground ginger, vegetable oil, cornstarch, dark brown sugar, pineapple tidbits, vinegar, soy sauce, diced green bell pepper, green onions, rice or noodles for serving.

  1. The meatballs are made from the mixture of pure ingredients which include lean ground beef (mashed), onion, panko crumbs, milk, egg, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. After mixing all these in a large bowl, shape the mixture into meatballs, make sure your hands are wet so that the meat doesn’t stick to your hands.
  3. Fry the meatballs in a pan, and make sure that they are browned on all sides, after which they are removed from the pan and set aside.
  4. To make the glaze, all we do is mix cornstarch, brown sugar, juice in the pineapple can, water, vinegar, and soy sauce in a small bowl. We stir the mix until it is very smooth.
  5. Add the prepared glaze, pineapple tidbits, and green bell pepper to the pan. Then add the prepared meatballs to the skillet and make sure it simmers well.
  6. Make sure the meatballs coat well until the glaze, green pepper, and pineapple tidbits are thickened. We always sprinkle ours with sliced green onions. Serve it over white rice or noodles to enjoy it. Enjoy!
