Skillet Nachos

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 pound flank steak

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 bag tortilla chips

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded Jack cheese

  • Guacamole, for topping

  • Sour cream, for topping

  • Pico de gallo, for topping

  • Sliced jalapenos, for topping

  • Chopped cilantro, for topping

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2) Heat olive oil in skillet over high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper and add to skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

3) Fill an oven-safe skillet with tortilla chips. Top with sliced steak, cheddar cheese and Jack cheese. Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted.

4) Remove from oven. Top with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, jalapenos, cilantro or any other nacho toppings you desire.

5) Serve and enjoy!
