Matcha Truffles

  • 2 1/2 ounces heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 5 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped finely

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons matcha salt (1 teaspoon of matcha powder mixed with 1/2 teaspoon sea salt)

Matcha Truffles are so easy to make and put a delicious twist on an already delicious dessert!

1) Heat cream until just simmering. Stir in brown sugar till dissolved.

2) Place chocolate in a mixing bowl then pour hot milk mixture over and blend until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in matcha powder till blended.

3) Cover bowl and chill for about 1 hour.

4) Scoop out by the teaspoonful and roll into balls. Sprinkle with the matcha salt. Place truffles back in the fridge until ready to serve.
