  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk or whole milk

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese


  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
    2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder and kosher salt.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and butter. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until dough is combined. Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
    4. Use a 1/4 measuring cup to evenly scoop out batter and place on a baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes, or until biscuits are golden.
    5. To make the topping, whisk together butter, parsley and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush over the tops of the freshly baked biscuits.
