This Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Shrimp recipe is so good you’ll put it on the top of your appetizer menu list. Oh, they are simple to make too; like as simple as ABC. Packed with nice unique flavors, firm, crunchy texture, low in calories, and generally rich in nutrients.

If you love a good shrimp appetizer, you should try bacon wrapped buffalo shrimp and give me a feedback. It’s packed with everything you love – bacon, buffalo sauce, and spicy shrimps. Careful with this one, or you might just get addicted quick.

One time, I was 2 minutes late to a buffet table and they were already gone. This appetizer only requires three ingredients to make; bacon, hot sauce, and shrimps. Extra care should be taken when wrapping the bacon around the shrimp. Bacon needs time to render its fat, so take thinly sliced pieces of bacon, cut them, reducing the lengths to one-third of original.

Now, wrap each piece around the shrimp tightly and completely. Make sure not to overlap the bacon on itself. Cook the shrimp on a cookie cooling rack set above baking sheets; this ensures the fat drips down to make the bacon yummy and crispy.

As for the buffalo sauce; it is used to marinate the shrimp before being wrapped with bacon, the bacon is coated in the sauce, and lastly, the sauce is used to brush the shrimp when it’s fresh out of the oven. Bacon wrapped buffalo shrimp taste just great on their own, but they are best served with a good dip – creamy blue cheese works well.

  1. Place the deveined and shelled shrimp in a bowl and set aside. Cut the bacon slices in half crosswise and set aside. You might need to cut the fat off the larger bacon strips so it’s easier to wrap around the shrimp.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a small saucepan on medium-low, melt the butter slowly until just liquid. Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, and paprika to the melted butter. Whisk to combine.
  3. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on top. Pour half of the buffalo sauce in the bowl with the shrimp and toss together.
  4. Take a half slice of bacon and wrap around the meaty part around the shrimp and place on the rack. Continue until all the shrimp are wrapped.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Before removing from the oven, turn the broiler onto high and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bacon start to crisp.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the oven and give a final brushing with the leftover buffalo sauce. Serve alone or with creamy blue cheese dressing.
