Do you love salty and sweet? Do you love quick recipes that turn out amazing every time?

Who doesn’t?

Have you ever wanted to make candy but started to read a recipe and were overwhelmed? Candy making is very difficult, you have to have a thermometer and the candy has to be at a certain temperature and is always threatening to be burned. It's such a headache. (I’m talking from personal experience.) I have tried so many times over the years to make all kinds of candies. But they never turn out well. This recipe, however, turns out amazing every single time.

Unlike regular candy making this recipe is super easy and quick. There's no thermometer needed and as long as you keep stirring it there's no need to worry about it burning. This recipe has the perfect mix of salty and sweet. All the flavors blend together in perfect unison, the nutty flavor mixed with the sweet and salty is amazing.

Just heat up the pan and add the ingredients and stir for about five minutes and then dump the mixture on a pan lined with parchment paper. I recommend you wait until they're cool to eat them but… I realize sometimes that's just not possible… just be careful to not burn your mouth. Also I suggest you double the recipe… because they will be gobbled down just about as fast as you made them.

Who doesn't want to make amazing caramelized nuts. Everyone will love them and think you're an amazing candy maker (I won’t tell your secret if you don’t).

  1. Add nuts, sugar, and butter to a large nonstick skillet and heat over medium heat. Stir constantly with a rubber heat-proof spatula until the sugar melts into the butter and completely coats the nuts, turning the heat down as needed, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  2. Immediately transfer nuts to parchment paper and separate using 2 forks or let the nuts harden together and break them apart with your fingers once cooled.
  3. Before cooling, I like to sprinkle with cracked sea salt. The nuts and coating will harden in 5-7 minutes. Chop the nuts if desired.
