Juice Pouch

Ingredients

You know when you were little and you'd get completely kid-hammered off those silver juice pouches like Capri Sun or (if you grew up like me) generic knockoffs thereof? Those were pretty much the best thing ever.

Of course, many of us have graduated from the sugar rushes that sent us bouncing off the walls to slightly more adult treats like booze when we really want to let loose. But still, there's just something completely nostalgic about those shiny packets of liquid that really make you feel like you're in for a good time.

Maybe that's why this "juice pouch" full of liquor looks like the best thing in the world -- especially because you don't even need to step outside to pick one up.

Subscribe to a monthly delivery service called Whisky-Me and you can have 1.7 ounces of "a whisky that's been hand selected by [Whisky-Me's] tasting panel to best represent the glorious [flavors] and diversity of single malt whisky," according to the official website.

It'll cost you around $10 per month to get one twist-off pouch of quality Scotch (complete with beginner-friendly descriptions) at your doorstep about every 30 days.

"Wouldn't it be great if everyone ... could appreciate the rich diversity of single malt whisky, with minimal fuss and minimal cost, one large glass at a time?" the folks behind Whisky-Me wrote on the website. "Allow us … to take you on an amazing tour through the world of malt whisky; from smoky ports, to fruity glens, green lowlands, and much more."

Yum! Subscribing members in time will also be rewarded with occasional gifts and access to milestone events like "bottlings," notes Scotch Whisky.

Unfortunately, the service is only available in the U.K. for the moment, but here's hoping that these folks look to expand their business across the pond some time soon.

"With so many brands, bottles and expressions to choose from, the diversity of whisky can make it an intimidating experience for those discovering it for the first time and an expensive hobby for connoisseurs," Tristan Stephenson, one of the founders who selects the whisky, said in a statement to Scotch Whisky.

"Whisky-Me has been created to simplify matters; allowing members to explore single malt whiskies with minimal fuss and, importantly, minimal cost, one (large) glass at a time," he adds.
