Pop rocks in a burrito???

It might sound wild, but it's oh so real, and you can pick up one such creation at a select few Taco Bell locations right this minute if you want to.

Yes, friends, Taco Bell is trying out "Cayenne Popping Crystals," which you can add to your new $1.29 Firecracker Burrito for an extra 20 cents, according to FoodBeast.

The entree features rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, beef and red tortilla strips, and it comes wrapped in a red tortilla. You can order it in either cheesy or spicy, depending on your mood -- the only known difference between the two is that the spicy one gets an extra kick from the Chipotle sauce they add to it.

A Foodbeast reviewer noted that when you add the Pop Rocks, you get a "sweet-spicy flavor along with a fizzy texture" in your burrito.

"But be warned: too many of these popping candies at once could make the burrito taste way too sweet, which, as I've learned the hard way, is not a pleasant feeling," the reviewer added.

Taco Bell is testing the unusual burrito until August 16, and you can pick it up at four locations in Orange County, California. If you're near Santa Ana, Tustin or Anaheim, you can find out more here. https://www.foodbeast.com/news/taco-bell-spicy-pop-rocks-burrito/

A Reddit user first spotted the creation and told Fox News that they were "very confused by the whole thing" but decided to order it because it was so inexpensive.

"It was late, the location didn't even say it was open, and the item was on a lawn sign and not on the menu itself, so I just ordered it," he elaborated.

He said that the taste was "sweet and crackle like Pop Rocks" but still found it very confusing -- even after eating it.
