Amazon has already taken over our lives when it comes to home shopping. Thanks to its competitive prices and convenience, you can sit at home in your pajamas and buy that thing you want with a simple click.

Now, the company is taking things even further and jumping head first into the food delivery game, bringing potential competition to giants like GrubHub and DoorDash.

That's because Amazon has partnered up with Olo, a food delivery service based in New York. And together they are going to bring meals from restaurants like Chipotle, Five Guys, Shake Shack and Jamba Juice right to your door, according to a press release published by Business Wire.

"We're thrilled to work with Amazon to provide Olo's base of restaurant customers with a new delivery sales channel that drives increased visibility," Noah Glass, Olo's founder and CEO said in the release.

"Amazon's obsession with providing great customer and restaurant experience supports the evolving expectations and behaviors of today's consumer. We're excited to connect more of Olo's restaurant brands with Amazon Restaurants."

Of course, this isn't Amazon's first rodeo. The company has been having drivers bring takeout right to your door since 2014, notes Eater.

But with the acquisition of more than 200 restaurant partnerships in approximately 40,000 locations, any dreams of world domination are that much closer to becoming reality.

"Our customers love getting ultra-fast delivery of their favorite dishes from Buca Di Beppo through Amazon Restaurants," said Trish Giordano, the executive vice president of sales and marketing at Earl Enterprises, according to Business Wire.

"The integration with Olo will allow us to quickly expand our offering with Amazon Restaurants to even more locations enabling more customers to get our delicious, quality dishes delivered right to their doorstep," added Giordano.

Olo also works with Applebee's, Chili's, Denny's, Noodles and Company, Red Robin, sweetgreen and Wingstop. Amazon Restaurants' general manager, Gus Lopez, said that the partnership will help streamline delivery options for customers and will simplify Amazon's expansion.

"We are excited to leverage Olo's digital ordering technology and continue rapidly growing our network of restaurants to give Amazon Prime members more options for fast delivery from their favorite brands," explained Lopez.
