Red Lobster announced Dec. 4 that their menu is going both small and large. The launch of its brand-new menu will feature tasting plates and globally inspired entrees with flavors from around the world!

Tasting Plates will offer small, bite-sized dishes packed with big flavor, each averaging $4.99, and will include a medley of seafood flavors, including Yucatan Shrimp, Petite Red Lobster Roll made with sweet Maine lobster, Loaded Seaside Fries with Monterey Jack cheese, clam strips and creamy clam chowder, Shrimp Potstickers, and an all-vegetable dish, Dragon Broccoli, featuring golden-fried florets in spicy dragon sauce, topped with fried chili peppers. If you like seafood on the side of your broccoli, choose Red Lobster’s Dragon Shrimp (pictured below), one of the chain’s entrees inspired by cuisine from around the world.

Other delicious seafood entrees include Southwest-Style Tacos, Yucatan Tilapia and Shrimp, and Pub-Style Fish and Chips, made with wild-caught Alaska white fish and served with Red Lobster’s signature tartar sauce, coleslaw and fries.

Salli Setta, president of Red Lobster, expressed her excitement for Red Lobster’s brand-new globally inspired menu, which will give “our guests new ways to enjoy seafood for more occasions and explore different flavors at an affordable price point.” The entrees are priced from $10.49 to $16.99.

In addition to new bite-sized dishes and larger-than-life entrees, Red Lobster is also adding to its Surf & Turf menu, a wood-grilled 6-ounce Filet Mignon prepared by Certified Grill Masters, which will be served on new, custom-designed artisan plateware as an ode to the natural taste and beauty of seafood. Food and Wine described it: “tender as hell.”

“We feel confident based on what we heard in testing that our guests will enjoy our new menu and think of us for more dining occasions,” Setta told Food and Wine. At second glance, Red Lobster’s reinvention offers more than just the bread-and-butter seafood chain offerings. Although, there’s plenty of those.
