  • 1 1/2 cups (7 ounces) bread flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant or active dry yeast
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice

Blend flour, yeast, and salt. Add hot tap water and mix well. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let rest for 3 hours.

After resting , dough will be double in size. Add a sprinkle of flour and stir until it forms a ball.

Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil.

Spread and flatten dough in skillet with oiled fingers.

Cover with a pot lid or plate and let rest for one to two hours.

Preheat oven to highest temperature, about 500 to 550 degrees F.

Add sauce, cheese, and toppings.

Cook on the stove on medium-high heat for about 3 minutes.

Place in oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes
