How To Eat A Whole Pint Of Breyers For Around 300 Cals (Photos)

If you have a tendency to eat whole pints of ice cream in one sitting — hey, it happens to the best of us — you might know the terrible feeling you get when you finish the whole dang thing. There’s the sugar rush, the stomachache, the headache, and sometimes the shame. A pint of Ben and Jerry’s, for instance, will typically run you well over 1,000 calories and 80 grams of sugar, not to mention up to 100 grams of fat.
To be fair, sometimes in life a pint of ice cream is necessary. But most people can run way beyond their daily nutritional needs just in the one pint of ice cream, and others who are trying to cut calories might be tired of making their own versions out of bananas.
Now Breyers is giving you another option by hopping aboard the ever-expanding, low-calorie ice cream trend train. The ice cream giant is joining brands like Halo Top, Enlightened and Arctic Zero and will start selling high-protein (20 grams per pint) ice creams that clock in at 260 to 330 calories per the ENTIRE PINT, reports Delish.
Breyers Delights have already been spotted at a few stores but expand to the whole nation in August. Look for flavors like vanilla bean, chocolate, mint chip and cookies and cream.
“We start with high quality ingredients, naturally sourced flavors, and all American dairy,” reads a statement from Breyers on the back of the ice creams. “This creamy indulgence will have your taste buds in disbelief for every yummy spoonful and it’s even a good source of protein! So grab a spoon and see what we mean!”
But does it actually taste good enough to replace your usual ice cream fix? The jury is still out on that, although one Instagram user said that they tried the cookies and cream flavor, and it was “good.”
