Victor Long, a lawyer from Decatur, Georgia, dropped $1,200 in cash while at a Chick-fil-A. Luckily for him, an honest young man was working at Chick-fil-A that day.

WXIA-TV reported that Long dropped the cash on the floor while eating breakfast. Apparently, he was headed to the bank to deposit the money. Video from the security camera shows Long talking on the phone and eating at the same as he drops the cash.

Long left the restaurant and it took about 15 minutes until employee Jacob King noticed the money on the floor.

King said, “I picked it up, and I was a little worried that somebody was missing that much money.”

Meanwhile, Long was at the bank kicking himself for his mistake. He said he thought he would never see the money again.

He told WXIA, “I didn’t even think about backtracking, because I figured anybody who found the money, the way people need things now, it probably never was going to come back.”

According to WFAA, Long is also a Sunday school teacher, which explains his calm attitude about losing the money.

“I hoped that whoever got the money would need it,” he explained. “And I was satisfied with that. And I thought that if someone who found it needed it, it would be a blessing to me.”

Long said that he saw the surveillance footage on the nightly news after Chick-fil-A employees sent it out to find the rightful owner of the money.

Long was understandably overjoyed when he found out they were looking for him. “That shows the goodness in him as well as the goodness in this establishment, that they have here good people,” he said. “Good, honest people who are willing to work and to serve. And I can’t imagine what Chick-fil-A had to go through to find me, and they made a tremendous effort to find me and to make sure I got the money back.”
