Here Is What Happens To Your Face If You Drink A Ton Of Water Every Day For 28 Days (Photos)

Ingredients

A woman recently decided to try drinking three liters of water per day -- the equivalent of roughly three-fourths of a gallon -- for 28 days, and the pictured results show the impact it had on her skin.

The pictures of the experiment’s results are astonishing, really, and Sarah Smith says that very quickly, her wrinkles, blemishes, and older features vanished.

“My skin lacks any lustre [sic]. It looks dead,” Smith said in a piece written for the Daily Mail of her skin prior to the experiment. “Every system and function in our body depends on water. It flushes toxins from the vital organs, carries nutrients to cells, provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues, and eliminates waste. Not drinking enough means all these functions become impaired. So I decided to see how I would look and feel if I drank three litres [sic] of water every day for 28 days. The results were astonishing.”

After discussing the idea with both a neurologist and a nutritionist, she upped her water intake daily for the 28 days, and as pictures show, she wound up looking at least ten years younger than she did the previous month. Still, there are some skeptics who say the miraculous transformation has more to do with lighting than water.

“There is no convincing data that eight [or more] glasses per day of water truly improves skin texture and tone,” Dr. Joshua Zeichner told Cosmo US, according to The Daily Mirror.

Still, there is no denying the difference between the two pictures, shown above, and it does lead some to wonder whether or not they should increase their water intake.
