Halloween Brings Out Starbucks’ Vampire Frappuccinos (Photos)

More Starbucks frappuccinos are alive this Halloween season and this time they’re vampire-themed. Resist if you must, but they’re bloody everywhere.
The Mr and Mrs Vampire Frappuccinos are the latest flavors to arrive at Starbucks locations in the U.K., Singapore, Norway and Sweden. Both are made with a mocha sauce layer and a dollop of whipped cream; “Mr” is chocolatey and “Mrs” is vanilla. Whether your preference is for Mr or Mrs, both flavors are teeth-sinkingly delicious.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte is a stiff second compared to these bloody October treats. Be forewarned — the drinks may or may not be a total crimson mess. It looks like the baristas make it a point to wildly drizzle strawberry puree over the whipped cream, onto the countertops, and along the cup’s rim, as to simulate a blood-spattered, bite-marked effect. It’s all part of Mr and Mrs Vampires’ aesthetic. Bloody motifs aside, the frappuccino looks delicious!
And the only way to grab a chokehold of Starbucks’ marital frapps is to peek out of the dark cave from which you came. They will be offered exclusively between Oct. 28 to Oct. 31. (Warning: May require contact with mortals in sunlight.)
There’s been talk of the undead at Starbucks. To be specific, their Zombie Frappuccinos have not been properly released yet, so as of late the Halloween drink remains “unofficial.” And like the Vampire Frapp, the Zombie Frapp is also limited release; understandably not everyone will make it in time to try them.
Luckily, both Halloween drinks appear on Starbucks’ Secret Menu, which means technically you can order them just about any time of the year. Starbucks carries dozens of syrups year-round, giving you endless drink possibilities and customizations. And with endless possibilities, comes strange flavor combinations.
We’ve seen Starbucks’ Halloween frappuccinos mutate over the years, starting with the first of its kind, the green tea Franken Frappuccino, which was later followed by the Frappula, made with a white chocolate blend, layered with mocha sauce then finished with a strawberry puree. It’s nearly identical to the Vampire Frapp pair, sans mess and “bite marks.” Of all the Starbucks Halloween beverages, Mr and Mrs Vampire Frapp is the bloodiest, bar none.
