The International House of Pancakes is celebrating their 58th anniversary with 58-cent pancakes.

On July 12, participating IHOP restaurants are offering a short stack of their Original Buttermilk pancakes for 58 cents from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This price is actually four cents cheaper than the original price when brothers Al and Jerry Lapin and partners opened their first restaurant in Toluca Lake, California, in 1958.

“We are proud that for 58 years, IHOP and our franchisees have offered our guests the best, made-to-order breakfast all day, every day,” said IHOP President Darren Rebelez in a company press release. “Our focus on fresh, innovative food served in a welcoming setting where our guests can create a lifetime of memories with family and friends is apparent in everything we do as a brand.”

Aside from the short stack pancake deal, IHOP is offering another reason to entice breakfast lovers to stop by this summer. Until the end of July, patrons can order the more recent “only-at-IHOP” meal, Paradise Pancakes. Available in three flavors, including Strawberry Passion Fruit, Banana Macadamia Nut, and Pineapple Upside Down, IHOP aims to give its customers a taste of a tropical Hawaiian vacation, no matter where they are.

“IHOP and our franchisees are committed to delivering on the brand promise our founders envisioned when they introduced IHOP to the world in 1958: Create value for our guests by providing an exceptional dining experience at any time of every day,” Rebelez said. “As we look to introduce more guests to the IHOP experience year after year, this continues to be our guiding principle.”

The 58-cent short stack is available for dine-in only, and is unfortunately limited to one stack per customer.
