Get Donuts Delivered By A Scary Clown (Photo)

Something wicked this way comes.

And that “something wicked” is a demon clown, and he has donuts coming your way. My eyes say no, but my stomach says yes.

Hurts Donut is getting into the spirit of Halloween, offering scary clown deliveries right to your door (a dozen donuts, included). This terrifying, but good-natured, demonic brain child comes from Kas Clegg, the co-owner of Hurts Donut, who explained to Eater that “It’s Fall, and it’s getting close to Halloween, so we just wanted to spice it up a little bit and do a super fun delivery.”

Wanna Hurts somebody? For a $10 fee, a Hurts employee will show up to the office or doorstep of anyone of your choosing (including yourself, but why would you do that) and hand deliver a box of Hurts donuts to them personally.

Ten bucks? That’s a steal for priceless revenge. And according to local Houston news WFAA, there have been more than 100 calls asking for Hurts’ evil clown delivery. Evil genius? Or just plain evil.

The delivery clown (pictured below) bears some resemblance to Pennywise, the child-eating clown of Stephen King’s twisted imagination, but Clegg denies its tie-in with the “It” clown. “We always try to keep up with the trends, and clowns are trending right now … we just love scary clowns,” he explained to GuideLive.

Dressed in traditional clown garb (a shockingly bright-red wig accented by razor sharp teeth), the not-so-innocent courier holds menacing red balloons, making this complete clown package too scary to look at. (The Pennywise resemblance is obvious.)

The scary delivery is offered only on Sept. 25 and 26 throughout Frisco, Texas, but the Hurts team is considering expanding their services, commenting on Facebook: “If we have enough interest in surrounding communities … we may pick a day for our of town clown deliveries as well!”

To those who can’t stand the sight of a clown — this writer included — you may now breathe a big, collective sigh of relief that this evil clown donut delivery service is offered in Texas only.
