A Connecticut couple were arrested due to participating in a fight over crab legs.

According to Manchester Police, a husband and wife were arrested after an argument caused by crab legs at a buffet turned into a fist fight. Law enforcement officers were called to Royal Buffet, where they arrested 45-year-old Clifford Knight and 38-year-old Lataya Knight.

According to the News Corp Australia Network, a man was accused of taking extra crab legs as part of the $14.49 seafood buffet. During the confrontation with the couple, the 21-year-old had suffered a cut lip and broken tooth after being punched in the face. His mother used pepper spray in an attempt to deter the duo from further attacking her son. She will not be facing any charges, as her actions were in self-defense.

The Manchester Fire Department was called to vent the restaurant after use of the pepper spray. Royal Buffet was forced to close while the quality of the air was being evaluated by the health department, but the establishment was back in business by its regular time the following day, according to WVIT News

Clifford was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct and was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. Lataya is facing charges of disorderly conduct and threatening, and was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

Both will be due in court on April 14.
