7 Homemade Ice Cream, Sorbet And Frozen Yogurt Recipes

One of the best things about summer is that you can get away with a lot of things in the name of cooling off. From sipping afternoon cocktails to wearing workout gear all day long and having a pool party every weekend, there’s a lot of fun to be had this season, and I’m here for it.
Why not make some refreshing ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbet that you can enjoy every single day of the week? In the name of staying cool, of course.
Dairy-free, spiced, creamy and laced with honey. Delicious! If you want an extra caffeine boost, this would be brilliant with a shot of espresso poured over a bowl of this stuff for a dirty chai ice cream.
Between avocados, coconut butter (or oil) and a banana, this ice cream’s base is both healthy and super creamy, making it the perfect less-bad-for-you no-churn ice cream. Of course, if you aren’t into mint, you can use any flavor you want (double chocolate? caramel?), although mint does go nicely with the green color.
If you prefer, you can totally make a regular ice cream version, too. Both are delicious! Top with more cookie dough balls or some smashed sandwich cookies to make sure you get your cookie fix.
This is SO EASY. You don’t even need to remove the peach skins, and you can even use frozen peaches if you prefer. You can also add a spoonful or two of bourbon to booze it up, or top with a little maple pecan spread. Don’t have an ice cream maker? No problem. Make this version instead.

This recipe calls for Greek yogurt, but the regular stuff works just as well, as long as it’s full fat. Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries and your own taste, you might want to add extra sugar (or any other sweetener). Sample as you go and adjust from there.
This delectable recipe calls for a bit of alcohol — specifically, triple sec and tequila — and it’s absolutely adorable served in a salt-rimmed glass or bowl. But if you want to dial back on the booze, you can swap out the triple sec for a few drops of orange extract. Also, you can sub some of the sugar for agave, though this might give it a less creamy, smooth texture, ye be warned!
