Free Doritos Locos Taco From Taco Bell Tomorrow
By Cooking Panda
America is practicing social distancing to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. While physical gatherings are almost non-existent, we’re seeing togetherness on a whole different level.
One brand is not only embracing the pursuits around them, they are stepping up to help lead the way.
Taco Bell wants to give back to their communities, and they’re putting their money where their mouths are.
On Tuesday, March 31, the popular chain will be giving each drive-thru customer a free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco (at participating locations). Their goal is to distribute one million tacos.
While a free taco to a million people is a nice feat, giving one million dollars to the “No Kid Hungry” campaign goes beyond a light meal. They will also be rounding up change from orders to give for the same cause.
The list isn’t over yet!
GrubHub will deliver your Taco Bell order free (over $12).
The brand will not be letting excess food go to waste, but rather will be partnering with other restaurants and distribution centers to donate to local community food banks.
During a time when our country is relying heavily on certain workers, Taco Bell is remembering them as well. They are giving back to those who are working exhaustive hours, and who are out in the public, opening themselves up to more risk of the virus. The brand will be delivering food to those who are keeping our country running, such as store workers and those in health care. Add to that the use of their Taco Trucks to feed healthcare workers, teachers and others who are in essential roles.
While implementing many ways to give back to the community, the company is also working on solutions to current issues related to the virus. They are working on finding solutions for those who cannot order through the drive-thru, such as truck drivers and ambulances. In addition, they are increasing procedures to keep their workers healthy in their kitchens.
So many appreciated efforts to give back.
