We all know how irresistable a fresh batch of cookie dough is. It takes all the willpower we have to not take a spoon directly to the batter because, well, salmonella. The good news is, edible cookie dough became a thing because us humans needed to find a way to enjoy cookies in its raw form. Thus, the invention of edible cookie dough came to be and life could not be any more perfect.
Edible cookie dough is essentially made without eggs, which is the ingredient that could cause salmonella infection. But in the spirit of Easter, we’re adding the egg component back into edible cookie dough in a different way. Cue, Easter Egg Cookie Dough Truffles.
One thing that might be better than edible cookie dough is chocolate covered edible cookie dough. These treats are perfect for Easter baskets and can be decorated in very festive ways. They are no-bake, so all you need to do is mix the cookie dough, form them into mini egg shapes, let them chill in the fridge, and dip them in velvety chocolate of our choice!
