Dunkin’ Wants to Hire up to 25,000 New Employees

Want to surround yourself with donuts all day long? Dunkin’ announced new opportunities to do just that when they shared plans to hire up to 25,000 new Dunkin’ employees in the U.S. According to their press release, they plan on hiring across the board—from entry-level to restaurant management. They planned this initiative to help offset the sky-high nationwide unemployment rates due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Dunkin’ is committed to keeping America running and working. We are proud to support our franchisees who offer much-needed job opportunities, in a welcoming environment where people can feel appreciated and rewarded for serving both customers and their communities during this critical time,” Stephanie Lilak, Dunkin’ Brands’ Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer said.
“Dunkin’ Runs on You”
Dunkin’ plans to spread the word by launching their first-ever national recruitment advertising campaign called, “Dunkin’ Runs on You.” This endeavor will feature broadcast spots that show spirited team members who work across all levels. It will also share the perks of working at a Dunkin’ franchise (outside of eating donuts). Ads will emphasize how Dunkin’ creates “the foundation for professional growth,” according to the release.

Partnership with Southern New Hampshire University
The baked goods and coffee chain is also partnering with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to offer affordable college degrees to its franchisees and their employees. The partnership provides employees the opportunity to earn a low-cost associate’s or bachelor’s degree from SNHU. SNHU is a private, nonprofit, and accredited school with over 135,000 students online and on campus.
“With the brand’s new partnership with SNHU… our franchisees are providing both new and current restaurant employees a great workplace, and the chance to gain experiences and skills that will benefit them throughout their lives,” Lilak said.
