What does going into full vegan mode mean? Give up meat! Easy? Also, give up dairy products! Tricky but doable? But what about when you have to quit eating your favorite chocolate bars? Now that’s a level red difficulty, right? Well, there is some good news for you vegans! Companies have been launching dairy-free chocolates, and next in line to do so could be your favorite Cadbury.

One of Cadbury’s spokesperson has revealed that the company has made plans to test a plant-based version of its Dairy Milk chocolate bar. It is a big deal more so because the treat has the word “dairy” in its name.

In a statement to Business Insider, a spokesperson for Cadbury’s US owner Mondelez has stated, “We’re always listening to our consumers, so we can develop and provide people with a greater choice of products,” He went on to add, “This includes looking at a plant-based Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.”

As revealed by Mondelez, a reduction of absolute end-to-end greenhouse gas emissions by 10 percent from that of 2018 by 2025 is also one of the goals of the company.

Can’t wait for the non-dairy dairy milk bar that would help you control your dairy intake? Well, you might have to wait as the spokesperson notified that there are “no immediate plans” to release the bar.

The spokesperson added, “We are only interested in launching a new vegan product that retains the texture and taste that our consumers expect and love from Cadbury products.”

That’s fair enough and it gives them the time to work on the name.
