A Picky Eater’s Turmoil
By Alison Wickmann
When someone says to, “C’mon, just try it!”
Do they realize that… you have a comfort zone that you have every intention of staying in? Please, let’s keep the anxiety attacks at bay.
When you are going to a social event and the menu is unknown
May the odds be in your favor.
Withering away because there is nothing for you to eat
Don’t worry about you, it’s fine. You’ll just deteriorate.
When people are shocked you don’t like a popular food
Can you just live your life?
Trying not to be rude when a friend makes you food that you absolutely despise
You love them, just not the food. Don’t take it personally, okay?
When people ask, “What DO you eat?”
Stay in your lane, alright?
When people judge you for ordering off the kids menu
They WISH they could have a lick of those chicken tenders.
Pushing your meal around your plate to make it seem like you ate something when you really didn’t
Your grandma will never know the difference.
