Delicious Crab Bisque Soup Recipe

Delicious Crab Bisque Soup Recipe
Delicious Crab Bisque Soup Recipe

On cold winter days and nights, nothing hits the spot quite like a hot bowl of soup. Many people enjoy the thick, rich taste of a seafood bisque, and the protein and calcium it provides can help avoid sickness. This crab bisque soup recipe combines all the best parts of bisque with the richness of crab for a delicious meal or side dish.

The first thing to decide is whether or not an amateur chef prefers real crab or crab meat, which is a less expensive alternative. First, add two table spoons of butter or margarine to a saucepan, and melt. Then add 2 table spoons of flour, and salt and pepper to taste. Boulin powder comes next, although which type is up to the consumer. Chop up a medium size onion and add a cup of milk, or half and half if one prefers a richer albeit more fattening taste. While heating this on medium heat, add the crab meat and whatever other meats or seafoods one prefers. Still occasionally until the bisque is thick.

It is best to serve the bisque immediately after it is done cooking, when it is hot. Some people like the taste the day after, however, when the flavors have had time to mix more in a bowl or tupperware. Whichever method one prefers, they cannot go wrong with a delicious crab bisque on a cold winter night.
