• 1. Three whole star anise
  • 2. Three cloves of peeled garlic
  • 3. Two tablespoons of dark soy sauce

Once you have all the above in place, then you should melt the vegetable oil together with the sugar in a medium sized pot. Heating should take place until the sugar starts turning brownish in color.
