• 1 packet of chocolate cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1 packet of Philadelphia Cream Cheese (8 oz.)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling (20oz.)
  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream



Black forest cupcakes are simply black forest cakes but in the cupcake form. These chocolate cakes filled with cherry pie filling and a whipped cream topping are a delicious treat. Light, moist and incredibly fluffy, these cupcakes are highly easy to make. These take a total of fifty minutes to make and the number of servings is 24 or 2 dozen cupcakes.

Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Prepare the cake batter as per the instructions on the packet.
Step 3: Mix the sugar, egg and cream cheese and set it aside.
Step 4: Fill in ¾ of the muffin cup with the cake batter.
Step 5: Spoon in one tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and one tablespoon of the cherry pie filing.
Step 6: Cover the ¾ filled muffin cups with the cake batter.
Step 7: Bake in the oven for twenty five minutes. (Insert toothpick in the center of a cupcake, it should come out clean otherwise bake further)
Step 8: Whisk the heavy whipping cream in the whisker until light and fluffy (Sugar and color optional)
Step 9: Cool the cupcakes completely before topping them with whipped cream.
