- 1 (14 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 2/3 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/3 eggs
- 1 1/3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup flour
- --Filling
- 2/3 heavy whipping cream
- 2 ounce semi-sweet chocolate squares, melted and cooled
A Black Forest Crepe is a simple dish that would make a welcomed addition to any lunch menu. This is a dish that offers a lot of versatility for those that would like to have something unique and yet simple in the morning. Since this dish can be served during any time of day, learning how to make it will provide you with a dish that you will use over and over again.
Step one – combine filling and almond extract in a bowl and cover
Step two – place milk, eggs, flour and butter in a blender and blend until smooth
Step three – Pour about 2 tablespoons of batter into a heated 8 inch skillet. Turn the batter when golden brown or after 20 seconds.
Step four- remove to wire rack and repeat with remaining batter
Step five- stack with wax paper and allow to sit
Step Six – beat filling until peaks form and spoon into crapes before rolling
This recipe is for four servings with about 15 minutes of time.
