• 2 1/4 boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 pound of pork liver
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic that are minced
  • 1 onion that is diced
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tomatoes that are diced
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can of drained garbanzo beans
  • 1 (1.5 ounce) box of raisins
  • 2 potatoes that are diced



If you are looking for a Filipino Menudo recipe but don’t know to find one, maybe this will help you. This pork recipe is usually prepared when expecting guests or on special occasions. It serves 10 people and takes 50 minutes to cook.

Instructions:

Step 1- Bring a pot of water that is lightly salted to a boil then add the pork chops and return it to a boil. Cook the meat at a boil for about 5 minutes and then set aside to cool. Take out 1 cup of the broth from the pot and put to the side for later use. Once the meat is cool, cut it into small pieces.

Step 2- Bring the water bake to a boil and add the pork liver to the pot. Cook the meat at a boil until it is tender, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain the pot and throw out the liquid. Put the liver to the side to cool and cut it in small pieces.

Step 3- Warm up the olive oil in a skillet; stir in the garlic and onion in the hot oil until it is tender, around 5 minutes. Place the pork chops in the onion and garlic mixture and stir; cook together for 5 minutes. Season it with salt and pepper. Add the tomatoes and broth; cover and let cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the pork liver, raisins, garbanzo beans, and potatoes into the mixture; cover and let simmer until the potatoes are tender, around 10 minutes.
