- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- ¼ lbs of grated cheddar cheese
- 6 apple slices
- ¼-cup salsa
Quesadillas are great for afternoon snacks especially if you have kids. Not a lot of ingredients are required, and they are easy to prepare. The Apple chicken quesadilla recipe is a fun twist to the traditional quesadilla which you can easily whip up at home.
Step 1: Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and place one tortilla on it until pockets form and you can see the tortilla brown and puff up
Step 2: Sprinkle grated cheese on one-half of the tortilla before adding chicken pieces.
Step 3: Fold the other half of the tortilla over the other half and press down using a spatula.
Step 4: Do this for the other tortillas
Step 5: Once the cheese in the tortillas have melted, remove them from the skillet and open to put in the slices of apple on top of the chicken meat.
Step 6: Top with salsa, fold over again, and slice each folded tortilla into three triangular pieces.
The recipe makes 12 quesadilla triangles and takes a total of 10 minutes of prep and cooking time.
