- Four fresh peaches
- One and a quarter cupful’s of caster sugar
- Two big eggs
- Two cupful’s of double cream
- One large squirt of lemon juice
- One cupful of milk
- Two large fresh eggs
This is a simple peach ice cream recipe that all the family can enjoy making.
Peel the peaches and remove the stones.
Chop the peaches into small pieces.
Place the chopped peaches into a mixing bowl and add the sugar and the lemon juice.
Put the mixture into the refrigerator for an hour to chill.
After an hour take the mixture out of the fridge and drain away the excess lemon juice.
Take a clean bowl and crack the eggs into it.
Use a fork and whisk the eggs until they are frothy.
Add the caster sugar to the frothy egg mixture and whisk it again.
Pour the milk and the double cream into the egg and sugar mixture and whisk it again.
Finally add the chopped peaches to the mixture before placing it into the ice cream maker.
Mix the ice cream until it thickens and then chill it.
This peach ice cream recipe is easy to follow and it makes one quart of delicious ice cream. This provides at least four large helpings.
Allow around four hour’s preparation time.
